Filmmaker and writer Sukumar’s Pushpa: The Rise became a runaway success at the box office after it released in December 2021. A major highlight of the success of the Allu Arjun starrer action entertainer was its stupendous performance in its Hindi version, which not many people expected. As per as the film’s performance in the Delhi-UP territory is concerned, it has broken into the list of top 5 highest earners in this territory by earning Rs. 94.92 crores. The list is topped by the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer horror-comedy Stree 2, which made a mammoth Rs. 141.53 crores in this territory. The second and third spot in the list are grabbed by Gadar 2 and Pathaan with Rs. 128.97 crores and 100.01 crores respectively.

What one needs to note is that Pushpa 2 has entered the list at a time when its box office journey is far from over. The film has a long away ahead and it is expected to move further ahead in the list.

History has been created. Not just has Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) entered its second week with a bang, it has also gone past the elusive Rs. 20 crores mark. Wait, there is more. It has, in fact, gone past a massive Rs. 25 crores and that’s just stupendous as hardly any films have actually done that on their first Friday in 2024. However, this Allu Arjun starrer has done that on its second Friday and that goes on to show the kind of might that the film carries.

The film brought in Rs. 27.50 crores and that pretty much reaffirms that at the bare minimum, Rs. 250 crores more are there for the taking in its run till Republic Day weekend. There is no stopping the film as it continues to do tremendously well all over. Moreover, with repeat audiences coming in as well, there is further moolah being added to the film. In fact, this week too the film is running without any competition whatsoever as holdover releases have hardly got any showcasing and there has been no new release either. This means all screens and all shows are reserved for this family action drama.

Currently, this Sukumar directed film stands at Rs. 461 crores and while it will enter Rs. 500 Crore Club tomorrow morning, the overall collections could well be aiming for Rs. 525 crores before the start of the weekdays. The film is finding huge patronage in theatres at a rapid pace and while Rs. 700 crores is sealed for the film, there is a good chance that it may well hit Rs. 800 crores as well.

Filmmaker Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has actually been ruling the roost at the box office. There were high expectations from the Allu Arjun starrer action entertainer after the first film in the franchise Pushpa: The Rise became a surprise success at the box office once it was released in December 2021. The success of its Hindi version was unprecedented. But the second film in the franchise has surpassed expectations as it has crossed over Rs. 400 crores in Hindi itself and that too in just one week.

But the success of Pushpa 2 is not just limited to India. The film has been doing tremendously well in the international (or should we say “yinternational” like Allu Arjun says in the film?) markets as well. The film crossed the glorious figure of Rs. 1000 crores gross in just six days. Following this, the latest update is that it scored a healthy Rs. 65 crores gross yesterday as well.

This brings the film’s grand international total to a staggering Rs. 1067 crores in just seven days. It is anyways a big deal if a film reaches the four figure mark after a few weeks. But in the case of Pushpa 2, it has arrived this far well before completing even 10 days at the box office. It will be interesting to see where the film heads both nationally and internationally from here onwards.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in important roles.

Worldwide collections of Pushpa 2 Day 1 - 294 cr. Day 2 - 155 cr. Day 3 - 172 cr. Day 4 - 208 cr. Day 5 - 93 cr. Day 6 - 80 cr. Day 7 - 65 cr.

The party continues for Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) as Wednesday too came up with outstanding collections. The film had another day of Rs. 30 crores+ as Rs. 31.50 crores came in. This isn’t much of a drop from Tuesday collections of Rs. 36 crores and today too, the film will collect over Rs. 25 crores, which will be simply superb.

In the process, the Allu Arjun starrer has now entered the Rs. 400 Crore Club. It’s only the second film of the year to do that after Stree 2 and to think of it, it has been in theatres for only one week. This also makes it the fastest film ever to cross Rs. 400 crores mark and in 11 days flat, it will score another huge record of an entry into the Rs. 500 Crore Club, which too would be the fastest ever.

The Sukumar directed film stands at Rs. 406.50 crores and will hit Rs. 430 crores by tonight, hence bringing the extended first week to a close. Post that to bring in Rs. 70 crores more in the second weekend would be a cakewalk and one can’t put a number on how much further than Rs. 500 crores will it go once the weekdays kickstart. There is a huge momentum that’s on side of the film and its journey towards the Rs. 600 Crore Club would be at a very high pace before it settles down.

Pushpa 2: The Rule has been making waves at the box office ever since its release. The film opened to a roaring response from audiences across the board and it has been earning tremendous numbers. The Hindi version of the Allu Arjun starrer stormed the box office with a phenomenal opening of Rs. 72 crores in India and has till now earned a mammoth Rs 375 crores. These are just the Hindi figures for the film. It’s performance Pan-India has been even greater.

But that’s not all. Pushpa 2 has been doing phenomenally well in the international markets too. The film had a record breaking opening of Rs. 294 crores gross worldwide. After earning Rs. 155 crores on Friday, Rs. 172 crores on Saturday and Rs. 208 crores on Sunday, it went onto pass the difficult Monday test as well as it amassed Rs. 93 crores on that day. Despite earning such big numbers, the film sustained well on Tuesday as well as it scored Rs. 80 crores!

The total comes down to an earth-shattering Rs. 1002 crores. Hence, Pushpa 2 has entered the coveted Rs. 1000 crores club. It is rare for films to enter the four figure mark worldwide but the Sukumar directorial has not only achieved that but has managed to do that in a span of a mere six days!

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in important roles.

After an UNIMAGINABLE Monday, which saw a huge push in numbers due to capacity issues over the weekend, Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) normalised to some extent on Tuesday. By normalisation, I mean that the collections weren’t going berserk as they did so far, though by no means this is still anything lesser as the numbers that are coming in are still MINDBLOWING. Even on the sixth day of release, the film is collecting over Rs. 30 crores and that too on a regular working day, which is a record by all means.

The Allu Arjun starrer collected a massive Rs. 36 crores on Tuesday and that’s simply superb. It’s unbelievable that audiences are continuing to flock theatres in such huge numbers and that too when even winters have started. Otherwise, when films don’t work then excuses around weather conditions and post or pre-festival season being usually low start getting thrown around. However, none of that is happening in case of Pushpa 2 (Hindi) as footfalls are coming in lakhs and that’s just insane.

The film will stay on to be over Rs. 30 crores today as well and tomorrow also if it comes close to that then rest assured, we have a second weekend of over Rs. 100 crores coming. So far, the Sukumar directed action family drama has netted Rs. 375 crores, which means it’s now pretty much a given that it will enter Rs. 400 Crore Club today. That would be just inexplicable and one waits to see the makers get ready to pop the champagne pretty soon for Rs. 500 Crore Club entry celebrations.

It was an unimaginable Monday for Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) as a massive Rs. 48 crores came in. Even by the wildest stretch of imagination, one didn’t see this coming as something like this has never happened before. In fact, leave this aside, no film has even come close to this on a regular Monday. Wait, let’s park that as well. Even on a national holiday, Monday has never seen these kind of collections ever.

In that sense, what we are witnessing with the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 is truly unprecedented. On a daily basis new record are being set, and that too by a margin. Monday was no different as the drop from the opening day (Thursday – Rs. 72 crores) is pretty much under control and even if the collections had actually gone half of it (Rs. 36 crores), they would still have been excellent. Instead, we are talking about late 40s here, which means right till the close of the current week, collections will stay more than 50% of Thursday.

The film has now also entered the Rs. 300 Crore Club in record time, what with the collections standing at a massive Rs. 339 crores. In fact, by tomorrow, it would even enter the Rs. 400 Crore Club, which means there would be a new record of first seven days itself going past the Rs. 400 crores mark. Simply unbelievable.

Filmmaker Sukumar’s Pushpa: The Rise came with not many expectations, especially its Hindi version, when it was released in December 2021. However, the Allu Arjun starrer action extravaganza became a surprise success, including in the Hindi belt. Hence, there were a lot of expectations from Pushpa 2: The Rule, the second film in the franchise. The film, however, has surpassed expectations at the box office.

The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has earned close to Rs. 300 crores in just four days. But the film has been doing exceptionally well worldwide too in all languages. It opened at a mammoth number of Rs. 294 crores on its opening day. The second day saw a normal and expected drop at Rs. 155 crores but showed a good jump on Sunday with Rs. 172 crores.

The film was then expected to jump even further on Sunday, and it has done that fantastically by amassing Rs. 208 crores in a single day. This has taken its worldwide total to Rs. 829 crores, which is nothing but ‘wildfire’. This has also ensured that the movie will reach the coveted Rs. 1000 crores club in record time.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles.

Filmmaker Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has been in the news ever since it was announced at the end of the first film Pushpa: The Rise, which was released in December 2021. Hence, the second film in the franchise was expected to open well. But Pushpa 2 has done much more than that as it has literally taken the box office by storm. The Hindi version of the movie has reached close to Rs. 300 crores in its first four days itself, which is a humongous number.

This was possible after the film earned an unthinkable amount of Rs. 86 crores yesterday, which was a Sunday. This, in fact, is the biggest single day ever in the Hindi market. By doing this, Pushpa 2 has left behind the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, which had earlier topped the list by earning Rs. 80.10 crores on its fourth day. Jawan has also bagged the third and fourth number in the list with Rs. 77.83 crores and Rs. 75 crores on its third and first day respectively.

Interestingly, Pushpa 2 is on number five and six too in the list as the film had amassed Rs. 74 crores and Rs. 72 crores on its third and first day respectively. The seventh spot is taken by the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal with Rs. 70.69 crores, which it made on its third day.

Produced under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles.

Unreal. Unfathomable. Unexpected. Unprecedented.

I am at loss of words to explain the explain how Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) has turned out to be. The film did take a bumper opening and that continued right from Thursday to Saturday. However, Sunday has emerged as a different one of beast altogether, what with capacity issues coming into play and that too when it’s already playing in a record count of screens. The manner in which it’s currently going, it further reaffirms that the day is not far away when even Rs. 100 crores nett in a single day would be possible for a single language release.

On Sunday, the Hindi version of the Allu Arjun started with a bang and this time around North also joined the party. The film had anyways been going super strong all over but still one could see some capacity available in the North belt, especially in Delhi NCR. Well, that was not to be the case on Sunday as houseful shows weres visible all over even in the morning and early afternoon shows. Later, afternoon and evening were anyways expected to be huge but when things started taking a positive turn from 10 am itself, then you know that the day is going to be humongous.

This is what resulted in the stupendous collections that read Rs. 86 crores. Now this is something that has never happened before in history and Pushpa 2 has been enjoying one record day after another ever since release. The overall collections too have reached Rs. 291 crores, which makes it a mind blowing four-day weekend. Today, as you read this, the film has already moved to the Rs. 300 Crore Club and the extended first week has a solid chance to register Rs. 400 crores.

All time mega blockbuster.

Pushpa 2: The Rule has been making waves at the box office ever since its release. Opening to a roaring response from audiences across the board, the film has been earning tremendous numbers. The Allu Arjun starrer stormed the box office with a phenomenal opening of Rs. 72 crores and followed it up with Rs. 59 crores on the second day. The film then saw a massive jump on Saturday as it went onto earn Rs. 74 crores. These are just the Hindi figures for the film. It’s performance Pan-India has been even greater.

But Pushpa 2 has also set the box office on fire outside India. As per the film’s producers Mythri Movie Makers, the movie has earned a thundering Rs. 621 crores gross and that too in just three days. While celebrating this record, the banner took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “The box office is witnessing history with #Pushpa2TheRule. The WILDFIRE BLOCKBUSTER collects a gross of 621 CRORES WORLDWIDE in just 3 days, shattering many records.”

On top of that, Pushpa 2 is expected to rise even further today as it’s a Sunday. As per the estimates, the advances for the film have been even higher today, which means that the film will register its highest score of the all four days of its long weekend. This also means that it is now just a matter of time before the movie reaches the Rs. 1000 crores worldwide gross.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and it features Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles. The film is produced under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) is set to be an all-time mega blockbuster and join the ranks of Stree 2, Jawan, Animal, Gadar 2 and Pathaan. The film is firing away practically every day and this trending was obvious when even on its second day it ended up scoring a huge half century. It has happened in the past when a film has taken a blockbuster start on the opening day but then gone down on the second, as was seen with Thugs of Hindostan. However, the kind of trending that Pushpa 2 has followed is on the lines of Jawan and if one considered just the Hindi versions then even better, which means it’s in here for a really long run.

That can well be seen from the fact that Saturday numbers have come out as Rs. 74 crores, which is even higher than Thursday collections of Rs. 72 crores. Of course, numbers do rise over the weekend but then when a film ends up scoring so huge already on its opening day, there is always a wait and watch scenario. In case of this Allu Arjun starrer, audiences have already started giving it a repeat watch and when something like that happens then you know that a film has been truly loved and will be a part of history.

No wonder, the records are already being created as Pushpa 2 has now emerged as the fastest Hindi release to enter the Rs. 200 Crore Club. Previously, Jawan had already done that but with support of south dubbed versions. In case of Pushpa 2, just the Hindi version has netted Rs. 205 crores in just three days with the big Sunday yet to come. Today, the film will comfortably cross Rs. 80 crores mark with an outside chance of hitting Rs. 85 crores. That means a four-day weekend of at least Rs. 285 crores is on the cards.

This is indeed wildfire!

Pushpa: The Rise, the first film in the Pushpa franchise, became a surprise hit in its Hindi dubbed version. Despite the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic was going on and there was only 50% occupancy in theatres, the film became a runaway hit. Hence, there were high expectations from the second film in the series, Pushpa 2: The Rule. But the movie has surprised the makers and trade by being a tornado at the box office so far.

After earning a huge number at the national box office in its first two days, the Allu Arjun starrer has been making tremendous waves internationally too. Pushpa 2 has now become the fastest film to enter the Rs. 500 crores club globally. The film has achieved this feat in just the first three days. In fact, its worldwide total currently stands at an incredible Rs. 575 crores.

With the film reaching this number in such a short time, it is just a matter of time before it reaches the rare Rs. 1000 crores worldwide club. Pushpa 2 will be helped a lot today as it’s a Sunday. In fact, as per early reports, the advances for today have been tremendous, which will ensure a big number for the film today as well.

Filmmaker Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule started making headlines right from the time it was announced at the end of the first film, Pushpa: The Rise in December 21. Hence, there was tremendous excitement for the second film and it was expected to take the box office by storm. But what the Allu Arjun starrer has done is beyond that at the national box office.

However, along with India, Pushpa 2 has also taken the global box office by storm. In fact, the movie has crossed the huge milestone of Rs. 575 crores at the worldwide box office in just three days. To break down the number, the film earned Rs. 282.91 crores on Day 1, Rs. 134.63 crores on Day 2 and Rs. 159.27 crores on Day 3.

As the film has earned such a huge number in a mere three days, it is heading at a brisk pace to the coveted Rs. 1000 crores club. The film was expected to reach such high numbers. But not many would have thought that it would reach here so soon during its box office run.

On top of that, Pushpa 2 is expected to get a major advantage today as it’s a Sunday. In fact, as per early reports, the advances today look terrific for today.

Filmmaker Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has been in the news ever since it was announced at the end of the first film of the franchise Pushpa: The Rise in December 2021. Following this, the excitement for the second part kept growing with every new promotional material being dropped up to the film’s release. Hence, it was a given that Pushpa 2 would gain tremendous opening run at the box office. However, the film’s performance has surpassed the expectations of the trade.

This can clearly be seen from the fact that Pushpa 2 is already the eighth highest grossing dubbed Hindi film of all time. It is incredible that the movie has achieved this in a mere two days. The Allu Arjun starrer’s Hindi dubbed version has so far netted Rs. 131 crores in two days. By doing this, it has surpassed the entire lifetime collection of Baahubali: The Beginning, which ended its Hindi lifetime numbers at Rs. 118.7 crores.

The seventh, sixth and fifth numbers in the list of highest Hindi dubbed grossers are acquired by Saaho (Rs. 142.95), Salaar (Rs. 153.84 crores) and 2.0 (Rs. 189.55 crores). Pushpa 2 is expected to surpass these films today itself.

The top 3 films in the list are Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, KGF Chapter 2 and Kalki 2898 AD with Rs. 510.99 crores, Rs. 434.70 crores and 294.25 crores respectively. Pushpa 2 is expected to top the list by the time it ends its box office journey.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles.

It’s turning out to be a huge outing for Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) as it continued to score heavily on second consecutive day. One would have imagined that after a record breaking opening day of Rs. 72 crores, the film will slow down a bit on Friday before picking up again on Saturday and Sunday.

However, none of that happened as yet again, the footfalls were huge all over. While morning and afternoon shows started quite well, the real magic began in the evening and night shows with houseful signs back up. Due to the weekend coming up, audiences flocked the theatres in huge numbers and even family crowds were there to be seen at single screens as well as multiplexes. As a result, the film scored a major half century and not just did it cross the Rs. 50 crores mark with ease, it went far ahead of that.

The collections have come as Rs. 59 crores and that’s spectacular since that’s on the same lines as what Stree 2 had collected on its opening day (Rs. 55.40 crores). Simply put, the second way of Pushpa 2 (Hindi) is more than the best opening day that a film has enjoyed in 2024 and that pretty much shows how it has turned out to be a phenomenon. Yes, the ticket prices are higher than ever before but then at the end of the day people are paying for that and ensuring that the blockbuster run of the film continues.

So far, the Allu Arjun starrer has collected Rs. 131 crores and in all probability it will enter 200 Crore Club today itself.

Records created just a year back are being broken and new ones are being crated. Now that’s some great news indeed for the industry in general since it shows that the business can indeed be tremendous when a right movie comes with the right kind of hype around it, and when all cards are played right then history can well be rewritten.

Just last year, Pathaan had set the record for the biggest opening ever for a Hindi film by collecting Rs. 55 crores at the box office. A few months down the line, Shah Rukh Khan broke his own record by scoring huge with Jawan, which had collected Rs. 66 crores (just the Hindi version). The good streak continued with Animal (Rs. 55 crores) as well and this year Stree 2 did the unthinkable by turning out to be the second biggest ever opener by going slightly up and scoring Rs. 55.40 crores.

While one waited to see which film would come and turn out to be even bigger, Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi) has now ended up crossing all frontiers by netting a magnificent Rs. 72 crores, hence going past even Jawan. We are taking about just the Hindi version of Pushpa 2, which has been practically out of this world, and now has set the benchmark for the biggest opener ever. The stage has now been set and all eyes are on which movie will now step into the 80s on the very first day.

Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule is truly living up to its title, dominating the box office by shattering all opening day records worldwide. The film has taken an unbelievable start at the box office, as the early trends suggest first-day global business around Rs. 270 crores to Rs. 280 crores.

The Sukumar directorial has collected approx. Rs. 200 crores in India, whereas the international markets have scored approx. USD 8.25 Million (Rs. 70 crores), making it the biggest opening day business of all time in the history of Indian Cinema. Pushpa 2 has surpassed the previous record holder, Baahubali 2, and RRR, which collected around the Rs. 210 crore mark upon their release.

This is the biggest opening day of all time by a margin of 30 percent and the record of Pushpa 2 could remain unchallenged for a long time. With Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun has cemented his status as a global superstar, marking the beginning of his era of dominance.

The film has created an all-time record at several places, the main market being North India, where it has scored Rs. 70 crores.

The most awaited Sukumar directorial, Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun in the lead has lived up to the expectations of setting the box office on fire. According to very early box office trends, Pushpa 2: The Rule is poised to open in the range of Rs. 66 to 68 crores in Hindi, thereby emerging as the #1 opener of all time.

The film has opened to bumper response all across the board and was flirting with the first-day business of Jawan (Rs. 65.50 crores), to take the crown of the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi Cinema. The film is doing it without the additional padding of corporates in Hindi, and that too on a non-holiday, which makes the feat bigger than ever before.

The film is also the biggest non-holiday opener of All Time, as the start is bigger than Pathaan, which took a strong start of Rs. 57 crore in Hindi. Pushpa has attained these numbers with little support from the Southern Belt, as the Hindi version has not gotten a release in the South states.

The film is faring like a wildfire in mass pockets, but that's not all, even the multiplexes are recording extraordinary footfalls. It's the biggest opening of modern times, and the film could peak further with higher numbers on Sunday due to the holiday factor, as the reports are strong.

It’s gonna be a huge Thursday for sure. Year’s biggest film is arriving on 5th December Thursday and record keepers are already pulling up their excel sheets. Past records are being studied, current trends are being seen and future predictions are being put into place. Everyone wants Pushpa 2: The Rule to be the phenomenon it has always been expected to be. The best part is that everyone also believes that it will actually happen.

The film has been in news ever since the first part turned out to be a sleeper success at the box office. While the Telugu version had started very well and then settled down eventually, the Hindi version had started slow and then went on to run for around 15 weeks in theatres. The film was such a success that despite its OTT premiere, it had continued in theatres and that too during pandemic when other films were not managing any eyeballs. It was clear there and then that when the second instalment will arrive, it will be a rage.

That’s what’s happening too as the Allu Arjun starrer has seen unprecedented craze around it ever since its announcement and in last two years not a day has done past by when the film hasn’t been spoken about. The trailer has done the trick as well and an aggressive marketing, promotion and release strategy has ensured that a huge start is guaranteed for the film. Talking about just the Hindi version, while the film is all set to take the biggest start of 2024, it will also challenge Jawan’s opening of Rs. 66 crores (in Hindi). At the very minimum, it will cross Rs. 60 crores for sure and that will bring it right amongst the top when it comes to blockbuster openings.

Pushpa 2 has set the box office on fire with its advance booking and is not looking to stop anytime soon. As of Sunday at 10 AM, Pushpa 2: The Rule has sold 75,000 tickets across the top national multiplex chains – PVR, Inox & Cinepolis - and will soon hit the 1 lakh mark.

The Allu Arjun film is running riot and has made these bookings in less than 24 hours despite no bulk bookings from fan clubs and corporates, which means a true blue organic movement for this Sukumar film. The pace of Pushpa 2 is better than all the Hindi releases of the last 10 years, including Jawan, Pathaan, and Animal. Pushpa 2 will be all set to challenge the advance booking of Baahubali 2 in national chains by Wednesday night.

Pushpa 2 is roaring to rule even in the non-national chains like MovieMax, Rajhans, and Miraj, as the pre-sales are off the roof. Pushpa 2 will be challenging all-time records in these multiplex chains and will set new benchmarks before its release.

It's the hottest feature film since Baahubali 2 and the momentum shows a huge movement in the cinema-going audience.

This year has seen a number of old successful and a few not-so-successful films re-releasing in theatres. Surprisingly, quite a few of these films have also seen good footfalls from the audience despite the fact that these films are easily available either on OTT or television or both. Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan’s iconic Karan Arjun is the latest old film to re-release in cinemas.

The Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kajol, Rakhee Gulzar and Amrish Puri starrer has managed a good number of Rs. 60 lakhs in the first week of its re-release. The number can be considered impressive considering the lesser number of screens the re-released films receive.

To break down the number, Karan Arjun has earned Rs. 31,99,493 in PVR Inox and Rs 6,96,818 in Cinepolis. The total comes down to Rs. 38,96,311. The movie has made the rest of the amount from other cinema chains.

Karan Arjun is the story of reincarnation. Karan (Salman) and Arjun (Shah Rukh) are brothers living in a village with their mother (Rakhee). They get killed by their extended family’s evil forces, headed by Thakur Durjan Singh (Puri), for their selfish motives. The mother is sure that her dead sons will return despite she becoming a laughing stock. However, Karan and Arjun take rebirth and avenge their own death by killing Durjan and his men.

The year is about to end and one of the highlights of 2024 has been the practice of re-releasing old classic or iconic films in theatres. Quite a few such films have surprisingly succeeded in bringing the audience to the cinema halls. Dharma Productions’ romantic drama Kal Ho Naa Ho has been one such film.

The Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan starrer has gone onto earn Rs. 2.25 crores in its second week, which is impressive considering the lesser number of screens it has got. To break down the number earned by Kal Ho Naa Ho in terms of multiplex chains, the movie made Rs. 1,57,29,762 in PVR Inox cinemas, Rs. 38,39,384 in Cinepolis, Rs. 1,88,745 in Miraj and Rs. 2,88,759 in Moviemax.

On top of that, the Nikkhil Advani directorial debut had earned. Rs. 2.05 crores in the first week. Hence, its grand total right now is Rs. 4.30 crores. As the movie earned more in the second week than first, it shows that the interest among the public to see this heart-touching film has increased with the passing time.

Produced by Karan Johar, Kal Ho Naa Ho also starred Jaya Bachchan, Delnaaz Irani, Lillete Dubey, Reema Lagoo, Satish Shah, among others. The film also saw cameos from Sonali Bendre, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Kapoor.

In Bollywood, few franchises have the rare ability to elevate an actor's career to soaring new heights. For Kartik Aaryan, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series has become that golden opportunity - a veritable jackpot that has redefined his place in the industry and solidified his status as a box office magnet. Following the phenomenal success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which revived the beloved horror-comedy legacy with fresh appeal, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is now on track to not only break records but set new benchmarks in Kartik’s career. With its first-week collections anticipated to hit ₹185 crore, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is poised to become Kartik’s highest-grossing release yet, showcasing the immense pulling power he brings to this franchise. This isn’t just another film for Kartik; it’s the kind of blockbuster success that actors dream of - a role and franchise that uniquely captures audience enthusiasm, solidifies his versatility, and consistently delivers in terms of box office revenue. In an industry where fortunes often fluctuate and change every Friday, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise has proven to be a consistent lottery win for Kartik Aaryan, marking a pivotal turning point in his career and firmly establishing him as one of Bollywood’s most bankable stars.

With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 expected to achieve a lifetime business of approx.  ₹275 crore at the Indian box office, Kartik’s cumulative domestic NETT collections across his 14-film career would reach approximately ₹1,050 crore. Notably, the two installments of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series - Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 - alone would contribute around ₹462 crore, accounting for a whopping 44% of his total career collections. This is a remarkable figure, highlighting how these two films have singularly elevated his box office standing.

Commenting on the same, Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh says, “Once a film releases it is all about the numbers, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s graph has just been going higher each day. Even though Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 released alongside a big-ticket film like Singham Again, with major names it has been doing well. Despite the clash, and the division of screens, footfalls and audience attention, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has managed to hold well, as it crossed the Rs. 250 cr mark. On the other hand, for Kartik Aaryan, whose last big opener was Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the latest release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has worked wonders. It has become Kartik’s biggest opener and has managed to go beyond Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. In fact, when Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 released there were comparisons on Kartik and Akshay Kumar who was in the first film, but today after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the franchise has become his. He has proved without a doubt that the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, which has sort of become his lucky charm, is his and his alone”

The franchise’s dominance extends beyond domestic borders as well. In the overseas market, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa films contribute 43.89% of Kartik’s total collections across his 14 releases. Worldwide, their combined business comprises 46.63% of his cumulative earnings, underscoring the franchise's universal appeal and Kartik's rising stature as an international star.

Out of Kartik's 14 releases to date, only the Bhool Bhulaiyaa films have achieved blockbuster status. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 set the stage with its blockbuster success, and now, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is expected to mirror this feat, solidifying the franchise as Kartik’s golden ticket to box office glory. This track record reinforces the unique impact of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series, as it stands out for delivering consecutive blockbusters.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has not only cemented Kartik’s place in the franchise but also marks several career milestones - All-Time Highest Opening Day, All-Time Highest Opening Weekend, All-Time Highest Opening Week and Highest Grossing Film in India and Overseas.

The Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise has become a significant, almost serendipitous, boost in Kartik Aaryan’s career. With its blend of comedy, horror, and suspense, the series has not only won over the audience but has also redefined Kartik’s image as a bankable star. Kartik has found a reliable source of blockbuster hits in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series alone.

For Kartik Aaryan, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise is not just a collection of films; it is the cornerstone of his cinematic legacy and an irreplaceable component of his stardom. The journey ahead for Kartik may involve other roles and experiments with various genres, but the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series remains the crown jewel in his filmography - a true lottery that will keep on paying dividends.

The Vikrant Massey led The Sabarmati Report has taken a dull start at the box office in India. According to early estimates, the socio-political drama based on a true event has collected approx. Rs 1 crore to Rs. 1.30 crores on the first day.

The film has opened below average, but this opening day is not good enough for the feature film as the costs are high due to reshoots. The Ekta Kapoor production needs to show a miracle over the weekend to sail through and reach a respectable number.

The Sabarmati Report will be looking at the opening weekend of Rs. 4.25 crores, and then it will boil down to the crucial Monday test. After 12th Fail, more was expected from Vikrant Massey, but it seems the audience didn’t have much of an interest in consuming this story on the big screen.

After crossing Chennai Express lifetime score (Rs. 227.13 crores) earlier this week, Singham Again has now also crossed Simmba lifetime. As you read this, the film has already gone last the box office collections of Ranveer Singh led action drama which had accumulated Rs. 240.31 crores at the box office. Now, Singham Again has surpassed that score and there is so much more yet to come.

In fact, when the official collections would be out, it would be known if this feat was accomplished in Thursday night itself or it has taken a bit of a time to reach there on Friday afternoon. However, the fact remains that with this feat being accomplished, Singham Again is now the biggest grosser ever in the cop universe and there would be an even bigger benchmark set for the next instalment. Also, for Rohit Shetty this is a milestone too as the film has now become the biggest box office grosser ever that he has given in his two decades of filmmaking.

The film scored a comfortable half century in its second week and has actually netted Rs. 52-53 crores*. All eyes now are on the kind of numbers that come in this weekend because that will set the tone for the eventual lifetime number of the film beyond Rs. 275 crores mark. Ajay Devgn’s biggest ever is Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior at Rs. 279.55 crores and that’s the eventual number that Singham Again would be aiming for.

*Estimates. Final numbers awaited

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had a very good second weekend at the box office as over Rs. 65 crores came in. Majority of biggies in 2024 have struggled to get as much in their lifetime, leave aside even Week One, and here Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has managed to get as much in its second week and that too when there was no holiday in there, which is remarkable.

The good part is that the collections stayed over Rs. 4 crores mark right through the weekdays and that has set it up well for the third week as well. Yes, there is Gladiator II that has released as well as Kanguva and The Sabarmati Report. This does provide the audience a lot of different kind of options to choose from. However, as it happens with settled films, the Kartik Aaryan starrer has its own audience in place and that will ensure good footfalls during this weekend as well.

All of this also means that the film will comfortably cross Rs. 250 crores mark by the close of the third weekend. So far, the Anees Bazmee directed film stands at Rs. 235 crores* and to get those Rs. 15 crores more till Sunday would be comfortable, especially since today is also the partial holiday of Guru Nanak Jayanti. The film is a superhit and will eventually cross Rs. 275 crores mark as well.

*Estimates. Final numbers awaited

It’s turning out to be a good week for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. After collecting quite well during the weekend, it’s staying positive during weekdays as well. Of course, there was a dip that was seen from Friday (Rs. 12.40 crores) to Monday (Rs. 5.40 crores) but then the film has anyways been playing on the higher side. Also, the holiday effect is gone too.

Hence, one can well expect some sort of dips to come during rest of the weekdays as well, though nothing too alarming. That was evidenced on Tuesday as well when Rs. 4.50 crores* came in. Typically, accepted films continue to demonstrate similar collections in the weekdays of the second week but in case of this Kartik Aaryan starrer, it’s more of a regular week now after a blockbuster first week which has a lot of holidays. Hence, what’s coming even now is good enough as so many biggies have struggled to get this much even in their first week in 2024.

So far, the Anees Bazmee directed horror comedy has collected Rs. 226.16 crores* and it will be closer to Rs. 235 crores by the time the second weekend is through. Rs. 250 crores will then be comfortably hit by the close of third weekend and from there on it would be interesting to see how far it goes.

Superhit.

*Estimates. Final numbers awaited

In an exciting turn of events at the global box office, the Anees Bazmee directorial starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Tripti Dimri and Madhuri Dixit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has overtaken Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again during its second weekend at the global box office. After initially trailing behind the Rohit Shetty directorial, Singham Again that featured a star-studded cast of Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff and Ranveer Singh in its opening weekend, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has now gained momentum, securing its position as the sixth-highest weekend grosser worldwide. With robust collections across multiple territories, the horror-comedy franchise has shown remarkable staying power in international markets.

On their opening weekend, the Rohit Shetty directorial Singham Again took the lead over Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, earning USD 22,265,741 (approximately Rs. 184 crore) across 20 territories, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 earned USD 20,382,603 (approximately Rs. 168 crore) across 18 territories. However, in its second weekend, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 surged ahead, drawing larger crowds and surpassing Singham Again by a narrow margin, with a total of USD 1,17,08,365 (around Rs. 97.4 crore) from 18 territories compared to Singham Again's USD 1,16,84,731 (around Rs. 97.2 crore) from 20 territories.

The appeal of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 lies in its combination of horror and comedy, which has resonated strongly with audiences worldwide. This instalment of the franchise has expanded on the original film’s fan base, with Kartik Aaryan’s performance adding to its widespread appeal. Positive word-of-mouth, especially in territories like the Middle East, North America, and the UK, has fuelled its second-weekend resurgence, attracting audiences looking for an entertaining mix of scares and laughs.

Meanwhile, Singham Again has also held its ground, reflecting the Singham franchise's massive fan base and its appeal among action lovers. However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s unique genre and Kartik Aaryan’s performance have managed to create a niche, helping it edge ahead in the second week.

While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has managed to surpass Singham Again, both Indian releases come in behind Hollywood giants like the Tom Hardy starrer Venom: The Last Dance that raked in USD 39,42,18,738 (approx. Rs. 328.2 crore), the Dwayne Johnson – Chris Evans starrer Red One that collected USD 2,66,00,000 (approx. Rs. 221.6 crore), Universal Films animated flick Wild Robot that after rave reviews garnered USD 1,56,41,000 (approx. Rs. 130.3 crore), the Hugh Grant horror thriller Heretic that drew in USD 1,26,33,155 (approx. INR 105.2 crore), and Paddington in Peru that collected USD 1,23,35,271 (approx. INR 102.7 crore).

The second weekend has brought a surprising reversal at the global box office, with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 pulling ahead of Singham Again to secure its position as the sixth-highest weekend grosser worldwide. This development not only marks a significant achievement for the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise but also reflects Kartik Aaryan’s rising popularity as a global star. As both films continue to perform well overseas, Bollywood’s reach and influence on the world stage are stronger than ever.

Kartik Aaryan's latest venture, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, is creating waves at the box office, shattering records and setting new milestones. This third instalment in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise has successfully captured the audience’s attention with its unique blend of horror and comedy, firmly establishing Kartik as a box-office force. Within just 10 days of release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has soared past the Rs. 200 crore mark, outperforming Prabhas’s high-profile project, Kalki 2898 AD, to become the second fastest film of 2024 to reach this milestone.

The box office race in 2024 has been fierce, with several big releases competing to capture the audience’s attention. The excitement around Stree 2, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has set a high benchmark, as it crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark in an astonishing 4 days, making it the fastest grosser of the year so far. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, however, has managed to carve out its own record as the second fastest, overtaking Kalki 2898 AD in a remarkable 10 days.

The success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 can be attributed to several factors. First, Kartik Aaryan’s portrayal of his quirky and charismatic character has resonated with audiences, bringing both humour and thrill to the role. The film also benefits from the franchise’s loyal fan base, who have been eagerly awaiting this sequel. Strong word-of-mouth and favourable reviews praising Kartik’s performance, along with the engaging storyline, have played a significant role in driving repeat footfalls at theatres nationwide.

Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, has drawn massive anticipation and fanfare due to its ambitious storyline and high production value. The film reached Rs. 200 crore in 11 days, a commendable feat for any major release. However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 outpaced it, crossing the Rs. 200 crore mark a day earlier. This achievement not only underscores Kartik Aaryan’s growing star power but also reflects the wide-reaching appeal of the horror-comedy genre among Indian audiences.

With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 now holding its place as the second fastest Rs. 200 crore grosser of the year, it will be interesting to watch how other upcoming releases fare and whether Kartik’s recent box office triumph will set new benchmarks for success in Bollywood.
