It’s turning out to be a good week for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. After collecting quite well during the weekend, it’s staying positive during weekdays as well. Of course, there was a dip that was seen from Friday (Rs. 12.40 crores) to Monday (Rs. 5.40 crores) but then the film has anyways been playing on the higher side. Also, the holiday effect is gone too.

Hence, one can well expect some sort of dips to come during rest of the weekdays as well, though nothing too alarming. That was evidenced on Tuesday as well when Rs. 4.50 crores* came in. Typically, accepted films continue to demonstrate similar collections in the weekdays of the second week but in case of this Kartik Aaryan starrer, it’s more of a regular week now after a blockbuster first week which has a lot of holidays. Hence, what’s coming even now is good enough as so many biggies have struggled to get this much even in their first week in 2024.

So far, the Anees Bazmee directed horror comedy has collected Rs. 226.16 crores* and it will be closer to Rs. 235 crores by the time the second weekend is through. Rs. 250 crores will then be comfortably hit by the close of third weekend and from there on it would be interesting to see how far it goes.

The first weekend total of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stands at Rs. 108 crores, which is by far the biggest to date for Kartik Aaryan.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has comfortably gone past the opening weekend of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and has established Kartik Aaryan as one of the most bankable superstars of Hindi Cinema from the younger lot of actors. But the horror comedy went beyond that and ended up with a big opening day figure of Rs. 36.60 crores.

By doing that, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has become the third highest opener of 2024. The biggest opener this year was Stree 2, which was a major surprise with Rs. 55.40 crores. By achieving this number, the Kartik starrer has comfortably put behind the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter, which, released in January, had opened at Rs. 24.60 crores. However, that was not the case to be as the hold was really strong and as a result the film managed to bring in over Rs. 40 crores all over again.

This was seen from the fact that a mammoth Rs. 40 crores* more were accumulated by the film on Saturday and that’s really quite good. To think of it, the film is bringing in this much on a clash and that too when another film is closing in on Rs. 40 crores as well (yes, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has been spectacular too). Moreover, it doesn’t have all the screens at its disposal and is playing at 60% available capacity. Still to collect this much with audience attention divided as well is a big deal indeed.

The film has now reached Rs. 83.70 crores* and as you read this, Rs. 100 crores mark has already been crossed by the Ajay Devgn led biggie. The film will comfortably cross the lifetime numbers of Singham Returns in 2-3 days more and then it would be Sooryavanshi, which will be surpassed next. Together, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty’s biggest so far has been Golmaal Again (Rs. 205.70 crores) and that number will be history by the second Friday, if not within this week itself.

After collecting Rs. 36.60 crores and that too in a clash when Singham Again had already seen a huge day of Rs. 43.70 crores, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 managed to have an even bigger day on Saturday. The day after Diwali holiday typically sees some sort of a drop but that hasn’t been the case with either of the two new releases. As a matter of fact, for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, there is notable growth seen.

The biggest of the surprise is the fact that the collections, in fact, managed to come really close to Rs. 40 crores and that isn’t something that even anyone associated with the film would have expected prior to the release. The best case scenario would have been to somehow stretch towards the Rs. 35-40 crores range on Sunday but here such kind of numbers are coming on Saturday and there is a big Sunday already awaiting it.

Kartik Aaryan has scored a really big one here with Rs. 38 crores* coming on Saturday and that too by arriving at just 40% screens. Moreover, Singham Again by itself is, anyways, scoring quite huge with two back to back Rs. 40 crores+ days and still Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has not just managed to challenge the biggie but also managed its own high numbers, which are setting records. So far, the film has already collected Rs. 74.60 crores* and while now it’s a given that Rs. 100 crores mark will be crossed today itself, what has to be seen is how much bigger than that will it get by the close of the first weekend.
