The Tom Holland led Spider-Man: Brand New Day has set the box office on fire in India, as the superhero saga is headed to score an all-time record for a Hollywood film. As per the current advance booking trends, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has a shot at defeating Avengers: Endgame to take the no. 1 opening for a Hollywood film in India.

The Marvel Superhero film has clocked an advance booking of Rs. 35 crores for the opening day alone, and that's with about 36 hours still to go for the release day. The final advance for Spider-Man: Brand New Day could be as high as Rs. 50 crores, which more or less seals a record-breaking start in India.

For those unaware, Avengers: Endgame opened at Rs. 53.50 crores, and Spider-Man will be targeting a start in the vicinity of Rs. 55 to 60 crores. The walk-ins would be low as almost everything in the metros should be sold out in advance.

The film has sold around 3.75 lakh tickets in the top 3 national chains - PVRInox and Cinepolis - and is looking at a final advance in the vicinity of 5 lakh tickets for the opening day alone. That's not all, the pre-sales are phenomenal in the non-national chains as also the single screens, which means that the exhibitors are set to go on a crazy ride.

Spiderman is set to score history, as the film is commanding terrific sales for the extended opening weekend too, and the four-day business could be as high as Rs. 225 crore in India.

Dhamaal 4 has maintained a steady run at the Indian box office and has now accumulated Rs. 148.43 crores in 18 days. Going by its present trajectory, the comic entertainer is expected to finish with lifetime collections of approximately Rs. 165 crores.

The film began its journey on a healthy note, collecting Rs. 13.72 crores on its opening day. It witnessed significant growth over the opening weekend, earning Rs. 22.48 crores on Saturday and Rs. 28.15 crores on Sunday. As a result, Dhamaal 4 recorded an impressive opening weekend of Rs. 64.35 crores. The film remained steady during the weekdays and concluded its first week with collections of Rs. 94.45 crores. It comfortably crossed the Rs. 100-crore mark during its second weekend and collected Rs. 39.75 crores in its second week, taking its two-week total to Rs. 134.20 crores.

Dhamaal 4 continued to attract audiences during its third weekend as well. It collected Rs. 2.32 crores on its third Friday, followed by Rs. 4.45 crores on Saturday and Rs. 5.83 crores on Sunday. The third-weekend total, therefore, stood at Rs. 12.60 crores. The film collected another Rs. 1.63 crores on its third Monday, taking its cumulative collection to Rs. 148.43 crores. It is now expected to cross the Rs. 150-crore milestone over the next couple of days.

The collections are likely to experience another drop with fresh releases arriving in cinemas. Nevertheless, Dhamaal 4 should continue collecting at lower levels for a few more weeks, particularly in mass centres and locations where comedy and family entertainers traditionally enjoy longer runs.

Based on the present trend, the film is expected to earn another Rs. 15-18 crores during the remainder of its theatrical journey. This would take its lifetime collection to somewhere between Rs. 163 crores and Rs. 167 crores.

A collection of approximately Rs. 165 crores appears to be the most realistic outcome at this point in time.

Ajay Devgn-led Dhamaal 4 has achieved a significant box office milestone by entering the Rs. 200 crores club at the worldwide box office. The comedy entertainer has now collected Rs. 204.50 crores gross worldwide, making it the fourth Hindi film of 2026 to cross the coveted benchmark.

The film has continued to attract audiences in its theatrical run, helping it surpass the Rs. 200 crores mark globally. The achievement further strengthens Dhamaal 4's commercial performance and adds another milestone to the popular comedy franchise.

Before Dhamaal 4, only three Hindi films had crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark worldwide this year. Leading the list is Dhurandhar The Revenge, which collected Rs. 1,852.44 crores worldwide, followed by Border 2 with Rs. 464.50 crores, and Bhooth Bangla, which earned Rs. 247.28 crores.

With Rs. 204.50 crores worldwide gross, Dhamaal 4 has now joined this elite club, becoming the latest Hindi film of 2026 to achieve the feat. As the film continues its theatrical run, it remains to be seen how much further it can add to its worldwide total.

Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4, as per the title, is the fourth film in the successful Dhamaal franchise. Apart from Ajay Devgn, it stars, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Anjali Anand, Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh among others.

List of films surpassing Rs. 200 crores mark at the worldwide box office in 2026:

Dhurandhar The Revenge – Rs. 1852.44 crores

Border 2 – Rs. 464.50 crores

Bhooth Bangla – Rs. 247.28 crores

Dhamaal 4 – Rs. 204.50 crores

The battle between the two ensemble comedy entertainers, Dhamaal 4 and Welcome to the Jungle, has produced an interesting box office comparison. While both films arrived with popular franchises, sprawling star casts and strong audience awareness, Dhamaal 4 has established a substantial lead over Welcome to the Jungle, particularly when their respective 17th-day performances are compared.

On its third Sunday, July 26, 2026, Dhamaal 4 collected an impressive Rs. 5.82 crores at the box office. The film was screened across 5,492 shows and recorded an overall occupancy of 23.60%. It sold as many as 2,62,903 tickets during the day.

In comparison, Welcome to the Jungle collected Rs. 1.85 crores on its 17th day, which fell on Sunday, July 12, 2026. It played across 2,266 shows, registered an occupancy of 20.80% and sold 81,069 tickets.

Hence, Dhamaal 4 earned Rs. 3.97 crores more than Welcome to the Jungle on Day 17. In percentage terms, the fourth instalment of the Dhamaal franchise collected approximately 214.6% more than Welcome to the Jungle. Put simply, its Day 17 business was more than three times that of the Akshay Kumar-starrer.

The difference in ticket sales was equally striking. Dhamaal 4 sold 1,81,834 more tickets than Welcome to the Jungle on the corresponding day. Its ticket sales were approximately 3.24 times those of Welcome to the Jungle, representing a jump of around 224%.

The wider showcasing enjoyed by Dhamaal 4 undoubtedly contributed to its superior collections. It had 5,492 shows on Day 17, compared to 2,266 shows for Welcome to the Jungle. Therefore, Dhamaal 4 played across 3,226 additional shows and had around 2.42 times the number of shows available to the audience.

However, the difference cannot be attributed to showcasing alone. Despite playing across a much wider number of shows, Dhamaal 4 also recorded the better occupancy. Its occupancy of 23.60% was 2.8 percentage points higher than the 20.80% occupancy registered by Welcome to the Jungle. Maintaining a higher occupancy despite having over twice the number of shows indicates that Dhamaal 4 enjoyed considerably stronger demand during its third weekend.

On average, Dhamaal 4 sold approximately 48 tickets per show on Day 17. Welcome to the Jungle, meanwhile, sold around 36 tickets per show. Therefore, Dhamaal 4 sold approximately 34% more tickets per show, further underlining that its advantage was not limited merely to its larger screen and show count.

The estimated average collection per show also favoured Dhamaal 4. The film generated approximately Rs. 10,600 per show, compared to around Rs. 8,164 per show for Welcome to the Jungle. This means that Dhamaal 4 earned nearly 30% more per show on its 17th day.

The strong Day 17 performance suggests that Dhamaal 4 retained considerable momentum even after completing more than two weeks in cinemas. A collection of Rs. 5.82 crores on the third Sunday is particularly noteworthy and indicates that the film continued to attract family audiences and benefit from the weekend jump.

Meanwhile, the lifetime comparison, calculated for both films as of July 26, also places Dhamaal 4 comfortably ahead. Dhamaal 4 had accumulated Rs. 146.93 crores by this date, while Welcome to the Jungle stood at Rs. 130.46 crores. Consequently, Dhamaal 4 leads by Rs. 16.47 crores in terms of lifetime collections. Its cumulative business is approximately 12.6% higher than that of Welcome to the Jungle.

Overall, Dhamaal 4 emerged as the clear winner in the Day 17 box office comparison. It recorded higher collections, occupancy, ticket sales, shows, tickets sold per show and estimated revenue per show. More importantly, its robust third-Sunday performance helped it consolidate its lead over Welcome to the Jungle in the lifetime box office race.

The Superhero saga, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is recording unprecedented advance bookings in India. The Tom Holland starrer has sold 2.60 lakh tickets across the top 3 national chains, PVRInox and Cinepolis, and with 3 days still to go, is headed to clock advances in the range of 4 lakh.

In gross terms, the superhero film has collected Rs. 25 crore already in advance booking alone for the opening day, and the final pre-sale could be as high as Rs. 35 crore. The film has surpassed all expectations, and has a shot of clocking Rs. 50 crore on a working Thursday, which is unheard of for a Hollywood film.

Brand New Day establishes Spider-Man as the most loved superhero of India, and also sets up the Marvel Cinematic Universe for their biggest and most ambitious - Avengers: Doomsday.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has spectacular pre-sales outside of the national chains too, which suggests universal demand for the film all across the board. All eyes on the content, as if the film lands as big as the pre-release hype, the records will come down crumbling.

Ajay Devgn-starrer Dhamaal 4 continues its dream run at the box office, adding another major milestone to its theatrical journey. With a cumulative collection of Rs. 132.10 crore, the comedy entertainer has now overtaken Welcome To The Jungle (Rs. 130.25 crore) to become the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2026.

The latest achievement caps off a strong run for the fourth instalment of the popular Dhamaal franchise. After recording the biggest opening weekend in the franchise's history and emerging as one of the year's strongest openers, Dhamaal 4 has sustained its momentum during the weekdays, enabling it to climb the annual box office rankings. By moving ahead of Welcome To The Jungle, the film has reaffirmed the enduring appeal of franchise-driven comedy at a time when audiences continue to favour established brands.

The gap between the two comedy entertainers remains slender, with Dhamaal 4 leading Welcome To The Jungle by Rs. 1.85 crore. However, the latest development reflects the stronger hold displayed by Dhamaal 4 after its opening weekend. While both films enjoyed healthy starts and catered to the family audience, Dhamaal 4 has managed to convert its initial momentum into sustained collections, helping it edge ahead in the lifetime standings.

Among the year's biggest performers, only three films now stand ahead of Dhamaal 4. At the top of the charts is the runaway blockbuster Dhurandhar The Revenge, which has amassed a staggering Rs. 1,108.09 crore, establishing itself as the undisputed box office champion of 2026. It is followed by Border 2, whose impressive Rs. 341.70 crore total has made it the year's second biggest success. Occupying the third position is Bhooth Bangla with Rs. 168.26 crore, leaving Dhamaal 4 with a deficit of just over Rs. 36 crore to enter the top three.

Further down the rankings, Cocktail 2 occupies sixth place with Rs. 91.98 crore, trailing Dhamaal 4 by more than Rs. 40 crore. The gap becomes even wider when compared to films such as Main Vaapas Aaunga (Rs. 64.53 crore), O Romeo (Rs. 59.90 crore), Alpha (Rs. 46.89 crore) and Mardaani 3 (Rs. 26.55 crore), highlighting the significant lead that Dhamaal 4 has established over the rest of the year's releases outside the top four.

The film's rise is particularly significant when viewed alongside its journey. It began by registering the biggest opening weekend in the history of the Dhamaal franchise, followed that up by becoming one of Ajay Devgn's biggest openers, and has now translated that strong start into a place among the year's top-grossing films. In doing so, Dhamaal 4 has outperformed several high-profile releases and demonstrated that the franchise's blend of slapstick humour, ensemble entertainment and family appeal continues to strike a chord with audiences.

With Rs. 132.10 crore already in the kitty and healthy momentum still on its side, Dhamaal 4 appears well-positioned to extend its lead over Welcome To The Jungle. The bigger challenge now will be chasing Bhooth Bangla for the third spot, as the film looks to continue its successful run and strengthen its standing among the biggest box office successes of 2026.

These advances have come on limited shows and the full fledged showcasing begins from tomorrow, where the advances will see an even bigger surge. Spiderman: Brand New Day is headed for an overall advance of 5 lakh tickets in the national chains, which puts it in the top 5 of all time across languages.

In the gross terms, the film has registered pre-sales worth Rs. 13 crore for the opening day alone, and the final pre-sales could be as high as Rs. 35 crore for the opening day alone. To put things to perspective, the final all India advance of The Odyssey was around Rs. 15 crore, and Spiderman will be 2.5x of Odyssey.

The opening of Spiderman: Brand New Day is expected to be around Rs. 45 crore nett, which is one of the biggest opening day of all time for a Hollywood film in India. All eyes on the movement for Spiderman over the next 7 days, as some records are surely going to be toppled.

The first half of 2026 has been an eventful period for the Hindi film box office. While the industry witnessed a wide range of releases across genres, scales and star combinations, the commercial picture becomes particularly interesting when one looks at the classification of some of the key titles that arrived in cinemas between January and June.

Bollywood Hungama’s half-yearly box office classification of select 2026 releases offers a clear snapshot of how the market behaved in the first six months. The trend is evident: event films and franchise-driven entertainers continued to dominate the theatrical landscape, while several mid-range films found it difficult to convert visibility into decisive box office success.

The biggest title in this classification is undoubtedly Dhurandhar - The Revenge. Starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun, the film emerged as an All Time Blockbuster with a reported lifetime collection of Rs. 1108.09 crore. Its performance single-handedly altered the complexion of the half-yearly numbers and reaffirmed that when a big-screen spectacle truly connects, the audience still turns up in massive numbers.

The second major success story was Border 2, led by Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa and Medha Rana. The film earned a Super-Hit classification with a reported lifetime of Rs. 341.70 crore. Backed by patriotic emotion, franchise recall and scale, Border 2 became one of the most important box office performers of the first half of 2026.

Among the other major positive performers, Bhooth Bangla stood out. Headlined by Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi, the horror-comedy was classified as a Hit with Rs. 168.26 crore. Its performance underlined the continued strength of horror-comedy as a theatrical genre when supported by star presence, humour and mainstream appeal. Another notable title in the profitable zone was The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond. The film collected Rs. 40.60 crore and secured a Semi-Hit classification.

Another film that remained under close watch was Welcome To The Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani. The film had collected Rs. 120.59 crore at the time of reporting. However, since it was still only 13 days into its theatrical run, the verdict is Awaited. Its final classification will depend on how it performs in the days ahead and where its lifetime total eventually settles.

The mid-range performers formed a significant part of the classification. Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, collected Rs. 90.60 crore and was classified as Average. Main Vaapas Aaunga, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Sharvari, ended at Rs. 59.57 crore, also securing an Average verdict due to its high cost. Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, led by Ayushmann Khurrana, finished at Rs. 48.16 crore and also received an Average verdict. Similarly, Mardaani 3, led by Rani Mukerji, registered Rs. 53.06 crore and was classified as Average. In the comedy and romance space, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde, collected Rs. 49.85 crore and earned an Average classification. Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, led by Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, finished at Rs. 48.35 crore and also landed in the Average category.

The classification also includes titles that could not live up to expectations. O’ Romeo, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, collected Rs. 59.90 crore but was classified as a Flop. This is an important reminder that verdicts are not determined by collections alone. Cost, recovery, scale, pre-release expectations and market positioning play an equally crucial role. Other underperformers included Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, which collected Rs. 28.38 crore, and Chand Mera Dil, featuring Lakshya and Ananya Panday, which ended at Rs. 27.78 crore. Both films were classified as Flop.

As the second half of 2026 unfolds, the industry will be hoping for not just more blockbusters, but also a healthier spread of Hits and Semi-Hits across genres and budgets.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is doing well in India. After taking a start of Rs. 16.50 crores on Saturday, the film saw some growth on Sunday as Rs. 18 crores* came in. The growth is not huge and that’s on expected lines since it had pretty much maxed out on Saturday when it saw a release on a holiday. Had this been a regular Friday to Saturday to Sunday trajectory then the growth would have looked different.

That said, what it has achieved is also a very good number since, at least, audiences are stepping in theatres, and that’s a win to be celebrated. The reviews are generally good and while there are mixed reactions amongst audiences, the nostalgia around the brand Mission: Impossible means that, at least, first week would keep seeing good numbers.

Sunday collections are in fact similar to the best ever single day numbers that the entire franchise has managed in India. Prior to this, the best number ever was Rs. 18.08 crores that Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning had accumulated on its first Sunday. Post that it had done well enough to go past Rs. 100 crores lifetime. Here, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning has gathered almost Rs. 35 crores* in two days but with Monday being its third day, it risks getting into a single digit score right away, which means the momentum would be disturbed. One now waits to see how does the shortened first week eventually look like for the Tom Cruise starrer.

Tom Cruise has done it again. His Mission: Impossible is a much-loved franchise in India and hence all eyes were on how big the newest instalment would, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, turn out to be. It was a given that the film will take a very good opening and a start of 10 cores was pretty much there for the taking. In fact, when the advance booking started and tickets started flying away quick, an opening of 15 crores was given. What had to be seen was, whether the film will turn out to be even bigger.

Well, as it turned out, the film in fact emerged as a one-horse race as it was way ahead of any competition around it. While Hollywood’s own Final Destination - Bloodlines had arrived and there was Bollywood’s Raid 2 as well continuing with good showcasing, it was Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning that had all eyes on it as audiences embraced it well. The start is in fact the best ever for the franchise.

The first day collections have come as Rs. 17 crores* and pretty much ensures a success in the making. Surprisingly, the film took a very odd start on a Saturday when such event releases actually choose to arrive on a Thursday instead of a conventional Friday. As a result, the core weekend per se will be for just two days since Monday is anyways a regular day with no partial holiday advantage either. Had this come on Friday then there would have been an advantage of at least Rs. 10-15 crores in the overall three-day weekend total.

Raid 2 has done well in its second week. Though Friday was impacted due to India-Pakistan situation, Saturday grew with vengeance and then Sunday was even better. Monday was quite close to Friday, which sealed the deal for the film while Tuesday benefitted from Blockbuster Tuesdays offer. Though there was a dip in collections on Wednesday (Rs. 3.32 crores) and Thursday (Rs. 2.98 crores), the job was already done for the film as it was not a bonafide hit.

With no major Hindi releases this week, the Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer could well have benefitted immensely this weekend as well. However, the newest instalments of Mission: Impossible and Final Destination franchises arriving this week means that Hollywood will rule the roost at theatres. At least Rs. 50-60 crores would be collected between them over the weekend despite Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning arriving only on Saturday, and that means a huge impact will be felt by Raid 2 which otherwise have cruised past the Rs. 175 crores mark.

Currently, the film stands at Rs. 140.22 crores, which means Rs. 175 crores is still possible. However, that would be a stretch since both the Hollywood films are carrying good to excellent reports. But Rs. 150 crores mark will be comfortably crossed before the close of weekend.

Raid 2 went ahead with the Blockbuster Tuesdays offer, what with Rs. 4.53 crores coming in. With Monday bringing on Rs. 4.88 crores, one expected that the collections would comfortably go past Rs. 5 crores mark due to Rs. 99/= offer coming into picture. However, that didn’t happen surprisingly and while there was still a bit of a growth (which is certainly better than a fall), one expected better.

This may be because on Monday the film over-performed a bit due to overflow from that segment of audiences which couldn’t watch the film over the weekend. Also, there was Buddh Purnima partial holiday which had resulted in a surge in collections. Nonetheless, that one opportunity to score Rs. 5 crores+ number during one of the weekdays as well has been missed and this will now happen again on Saturday next with a very good jump yet again round the corner.

So far, the Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer has collected Rs. 133.92 crores and while a dip would be seen today due to regular ticket prices coming into picture and also special night shows of the latest Final Destination film, Rs. 140 crores mark will still be certainly crossed by close of week. The film is a hit already and while Rs. 175 crores lifetime is there for the taking, anything on top of that would be an added bonus.

After seeing very good jump on Saturday and then showing growth yet again on Sunday, Raid 2 had consolidated its positioning quite well at the box office. While it was now a given that the weekdays would be stable as well with around Rs. 3 crores coming at least on Monday or Tuesday, no one was prepared for how things actually unfold at the box office.

Well, there was a pleasant surprise round the corner for the industry as Monday numbers came to Rs. 4.88 crores. This is very good since on Friday the film had brought in Rs. 5.01 crores and even after considering the fact that the decline was seen due to geopolitical scenario, still for the film to collect so close to this number on Monday is a testimony to the fact that it has been accepted well by the audience. Had things being normal last week, then too Friday would have been Rs. 7 crores at best. So, what we see on Monday is still a fair drop over that perceived number.

The good thing is that today Rs. 99/= has come back in action due to Blockbuster Tuesdays offer, which means collections would be better than Monday. As a result, we are looking at weekdays further contributing at least Rs. 18 crores with an outside chance of Rs. 20 crores being hit as well. The Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer has now reached Rs. 129.39 crores and by the close of second week, Rs. 140 crores would be comfortably surpassed.

Hit.

After a solid opening, Raid 2 has shown exceptional staying power at the box office, collecting an impressive Rs. 25.62 crore in its second weekend. With this figure, the film has now claimed the title of the second highest second weekend grosser of 2025, only behind the historical epic Chhaava, which earned a staggering Rs. 109.23 crore during its second weekend.

[caption id="attachment_1980564" align="aligncenter" width="620"] Raid 2 Box Office Ajay Devgn's thriller continues to dominate; Becomes 2025’s Second Highest Second Weekend Grosser[/caption]

Despite a wide gap between the top spot and the rest, Raid 2 comfortably outperformed its closest competitors, including action-drama Sky Force (Rs. 19.80 cr) and war saga Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs. 19.39 cr), both of which had promising starts but witnessed sharper drops in momentum by their second weekends.

With its gripping narrative and Ajay Devgn’s commanding performance, Raid 2 continues to draw audiences, and if the trend holds, it could become one of the highest-grossing films of the year. The coming weekdays and third weekend will now be crucial in determining its final box office standing.

Second Weekend Box Office Collections (2025):

Chhaava: Rs. 109.23 cr | +326.39% more than Raid 2 Raid 2: Rs. 25.62 cr | +29.45% more than Sky Force Sky Force: Rs. 19.80 cr | +2.11% more than Kesari Chapter 2 Kesari Chapter 2: Rs. 19.39 cr | +49.83% more than Jaat Jaat: Rs. 12.94 cr

Raid 2 did quite well in its second weekend as Rs. 25.62 crores came in. Yes, around Rs. 30 crores was possible in a regular scenario but then it is what it is because on the flip side, the film could well have struggled to collect even Rs. 10 crores had any major panic set in. In such a scenario, it’s about doing the best in its best capacity and that’s what Raid 2 is doing.

On Sunday, the film brought in Rs. 12.09 crores more and that’s further jump over Saturday’s numbers. That’s a very good sign because flat collections would have meant that Monday may well have seen a notable drop. For now, it looks like Rs. 3.50-4 crores could well be on the cards and from Friday numbers of Rs. 5.01 crores, this would be a reasonable hold.

The Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer now stands at Rs. 124.51 crores and by the close of second week, it would have touched Rs. 135 crores. The weekend gone by has also given it a big push towards that Rs. 150 crores milestone and it will reach there within three weeks itself.

Raid 2 saw very good jump on Saturday as Rs. 8.52 crores came in. On Friday, the film had collected Rs. 5.01 crores, so this is very healthy. That’s the kind of trend which has been seen with accepted movies, especially in last couple of years. However, the current geopolitical scenario means that nothing is really on predictable lines. Still, if the film has reached this far then it’s quite commendable.

The fact also remains that things could have really slid for the Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer had it been entirely about the “sentiments of the nation” because in that case the film could well have got into that Rs. 2-3 crores zone, as was seen in March 2020 when pandemic had struck and panic had just started building up. Nothing of that sort is happening so far, which means patrons are pretty much stepping out for films.

The film now stands at Rs. 112.42 crores and it will now get into that Rs. 120 crores+ zone by the time the second weekend is through. Raid 2 is successful already and this also means that right till the release of Housefull 5, this one will keep running in theatres and collect well. After Jaat and Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, Bollywood has now seen third theatrical success in a row, and that’s a welcome relief for the ailing industry.

Raid 2 has officially entered the Rs. 100 crores club at the Indian box office, adding another commercial success to Ajay Devgn’s long list of hits. The film, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, has maintained a steady pace even after an impressive long first weekend. The film’s score currently stands at Rs. 103.90 crores and it still has a long way to go at the box office.

With this, Raid 2, which also stars Riteish Deshmukh in a pivotal role, becomes the 16th film in Ajay Devgn’s career to surpass the Rs. 100 crore nett mark domestically. The actor first entered the club with Golmaal 3 in 2010 and has since added titles like Singham, Bol Bachchan, Son Of Sardaar, Shivaay, and De De Pyaar De. The first film Raid also earned similar numbers, laying the groundwork for this sequel’s anticipation. Over the past few years, his films like Singham Returns, Total Dhamaal, Drishyam 2, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Shaitaan, and Singham Again have further contributed to his box office streak, with Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior emerging as a standout performer in terms of lifetime collections.

Raid 2’s performance highlights the enduring appeal of the franchise and its central character, IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The crime drama format, blended with taut writing, seems to have found favour once again with audiences. The film opened to an unprecedented number of almost Rs. 20 crores and its stable run on the weekdays pushed it comfortably past the three-digit mark.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and produced under the banners of T-Series Films and Panorama Studios, Raid 2 also stars Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Supriya Pathak.

Filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta’s Raid 2 entered the Rs. 100 crores club on the last day of its extended first week yesterday. The Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer currently stands at Rs. 103.90 crores and it has not ended its box office journey yet.

Hence, Raid 2 has become the fourth film of 2025 to enter the three figure mark after Chhaava, Sky Force and Sikandar. Raid 2 has also become the third fastest film of the year to enter the Rs. 100 Crores Club by defeating the Salman Khan starrer Sikandar. The Devgn starrer took nine days to enter the club while the Salman film did that in 10 days.

The first position in the list is acquired by director Laxman Utekar’s Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava, which entered the Rs. 100 Crores Club in just three days. The Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya starrer Sky Force is in the second position as it took eight days to reach the three figure mark.

Raid 2 is the sequel to the successful Raid, which had released in 2018. Produced under the banners of T-Series Films and Panorama Studios, the film also stars Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Supriya Pathak.

The Rs. 100 crores grossers of 2025 and the number of days they took to reach the three figure mark:

Chhaava – 3 days

Sky Force – 8 days

Raid 2 – 9 days

Sikandar – 10 days

There was a decent hold for Raid 2 on Friday as Rs. 5.01 crores came in. On Thursday, the film had collected Rs. 5.33 crores, so there is a bit of a drop that has come in. Now in any other week, with no new release, a set film would have actually seen some kind of an increment. However, here it has been a drop.

Now one can’t say with absolute certainty that the drop is just due to the fact that the geopolitical situation of the country is currently disturbed, or also because the film has anyways over performed during the first four days so is settling down now. It could well be a mix of both reasons and honestly, one can’t pin point the quantum involved due to both the factors. Still, the fact also remains that the what seemed like a very comfortable Rs. 150 crores+ film after the extended opening weekend will now have to probably settle for somewhat lesser.

Still, the Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer is a hit and with no other release this week, it will benefit for sure. There would be Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning from next Saturday, which means the film still has seven more days of an absolutely uninterrupted run. It has also entered the Rs. 100 Crore Club, what with Rs. 103.90 crores in its kitty so far. Jumps today and tomorrow would take it into that Rs. 115-120 crores range before the weekdays kickstart.

It was a good extended Week One for Raid 2 as the film just fell short of the Rs. 100 crores mark. Till Tuesday, it seemed like a cakewalk but then the current geopolitical situation meant that there was a loss of at least Rs. 4-5 crores, with collections getting impacted on Wednesday and Thursday.

Yes, there was a drop in collections on Monday too but then that was relatively speaking because the opening weekend was so high. Otherwise, going by the genre of the film, to come close to Rs. 7.50 crores on both Monday and Tuesday was quite good too, and then even in the worst case scenario at least Rs. 12 crores more would have come on the next two days. However, there was a sharp decline seen on Wednesday when Rs. 4.81 crores came in and while there was an expected jump in collections again on Thursday with Rs. 5.33 crores being scored, the fact remains that the battle situation has impacted audience footfalls.

One waits with bated breath to check out how the situation unfolds during coming weekend. Had it been a regular scenario, then there would have been good stability today and then very good jump tomorrow with double digit score set to be hit all over again on Sunday. However, for now it’s going to be a wait and watch scenario. The Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer is portable for sure with Rs. 98.89 crores in its kitty so far, though it will rue the fact that it may not cover the kind of distance that had earlier seemed last Sunday when Rs. 22.52 crores were scored.
