Jawan Box Office: Enters Rs. 600 Crores Club in just 25 days, sets a huge benchmark for other films

25 days – Rs. 600 Crores. This is the kind of mind blowing run that Jawan has been enjoying ever since its release. The film took an all-time blockbuster start on the day of its release and has been breaking old records and setting news ones practically every day. Now on its 25th day, the film has done the unthinkable. It has opened Rs. 600 Crore Club for Bollywood films, something that seemed like an impossible thing till the end of last year when there were more flops and disasters than one could even imagine.

However, Shah Rukh Khan opened the gates with Pathaan, Sunny Deol went one up over that with Gadar 2, and both of these films ended up entering the Rs. 500 Crore Club to emerge as the highest grossers of all times. Well, just when one thought that Shah Rukh Khan would be content with scoring another Rs. 500 crores earner, he has come up with Jawan which has gone Rs. 100 crores ahead of that and broken even Rs. 600 crores barrier.

This happened on Sunday when Rs. 9.38 crores more came across all languages, courtesy the love of audiences which is continuing to pour on Atlee directed action drama. The film has now reached Rs. 607.21 crores, which is just an unbelievable number. A substantial chunk of moolah has come from south versions with close to Rs. 60 crores being contributed, which goes on to show how a Bollywood movie can entice audiences to watch a dubbed film as well in south.

Today, there would be further huge moolah coming in due to Gandhi Jayanti holiday which means a lifetime score of over Rs. 650 crores (across all languages) is now there for the taking.
