Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 crosses Rs. 325 CRORES worldwide in just 3 days; races towards Rs. 425 crore weekend!

Rajinikanth means Superstar, and Superstar means Rajinikanth. At the age of 76, the superstar of all generations is smashing it out of the park at the box office with the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial, Jailer 2. In just 3 days of its release, the action thriller has collected Rs. 325 crores at the worldwide box office, and is fast headed to surpass the Rs. 400 crore mark.

Jailer 2 is set to score the biggest opening weekend of all time for a Tamil Film, and is racing towards emerging as the #1 Tamil film of all time by going past the overall collections of the 8-year-old film, 2.0. And guess what? Even that film starred Rajinikanth in lead, and it took another Rajinikanth film after 8 years to break the record.

Jailer 2 opened at Rs. 130 crore on Thursday, followed by the second day of Rs. 85 crore, and now the early box office trend is indicating third-day business in the range of Rs. 110 crore, taking total collections to Rs 325 crore.

The fourth-day business of Jailer 2 will also be above the Rs. 100 crore mark, which means that the film will consolidate the extended opening weekend in the north of Rs. 425 crores, marking it one of the biggest opening weekends of all time in India, and the biggest ever for a film from Tamil origin.

It's Rajini mania all across the board, as even at 76, the superstar is delivering mammoth projects and smashing it at the box office.
