Nayyi Navelli Box Office: Yami Gautam starrer records muted jump on Saturday; Collects Rs. 4.25 crore on Day 2
The Yami Gautam led horror comedy, Nayyi Navelli is facing a tough time at the box office in India. After a start of Rs. 3.25 crore on Friday, the Aanand L Rai production has collected in the range of Rs. 4.25 crore on Saturday, taking the two-day total to Rs. 7.5 crore.
The film will be in the same range on Sunday too, targeting first weekend business of Rs. 12 crore, and from there it's on the weekdays trajectory. The word of mouth of Nayyi Navelli is mixed, tilted towards the negative side, so it's tough for it to have long theatrical legs at the box office.
Nayyi Navelli was arriving with some expectations of sorts due to the genre, but the not-so-good word of mouth has resulted in a poor theatrical trajectory. The competition from Jailer 2, Drishyam 3 and Prahaar too has put limitations on its theatrical performance.
There is a Dussehra Holiday on Tuesday, which could push the business by some crores, but that's about it, as the film will still be far off from emerging as a success story.
