Zara Hatke Zara Bachke Box Office Day 1 - Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer takes a winning start
No, theatrical business is certainly not dead and the box office indeed seems to be reviving faster than what one may have assumed. What seemed like a dry season for weeks and weeks before the arrival of Adipurush on June 16 is turning out to be really pleasant, what with first The Kerala Story, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3 and Fast X, and now Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, as the opening day collections have surprised one and all. Thankfully, this one is a pleasant surprise and it has ensured that June would turn out to be largely productive as well.
How has that been made possible? Well, the first day of the Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer has resulted in Rs. 5.49 crores been collected at the box office, which is a very good number. The mid-budget film saw a good release for itself as the distributors too were suitably positive about the film as they could sense the pulse of the audience. Somehow the trade wasn’t as optimistic but those who backed the film and the ones who released it were, and that was further aided by Buy-One-Get-One-Free offer that was introduced at the last minute. The momentum picked, though there was an inherent interest amongst audience that was a major contributing factor to the manner in which the footfalls kept increasing right through the day.
The Dinesh Vijan and Laxman Utekar film is now on a winning path and the weekend is going to be bountiful now, as a very good start has been made. It won’t be surprising if the weekend collections now end up getting into Rs. 18-20 crores range and once that happens, the profits would anyways start coming. Bollywood seems to be getting back to its feet now with different genre of films working and with Adipurush and Satyanarayan Ki Katha coming up next, it’s only going to get bigger and better.
