Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Box Office Day 2: Salman Khan starrer takes a major jump on Eid, earns Rs 25 crores

This is it. That’s exactly what the trade was waiting with bated breath for. Even though Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan had seen decent collections on Friday, which fell pre-Eid, a lot depended upon how would Saturday and Sunday turn out to be. That was always meant to be quite crucial for the eventual box office outcome of the film since it’s not Rs 100 Crore Club entry that the film is aiming for; what it needs is a Rs 150 crores lifetime at least. Simply put, it needs to at least go past Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which currently stands at Rs 146 crores*.

This isn’t all. Salman Khan’s last theatrical release as a leading man, Dabangg 3, had a lifetime of Rs 146.11 crores and hence the onus is on Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan to be one up over that. Now that the film has grown huge on Saturday to bring in Rs 25.75 crores, it certainly seems possible. Reason being that the collections would grow further today and as a result there are good chances of another 20%-25% increment to come in, and hence the Rs 30 crores milestone been crossed.

Once that happens, there are chances of the Farhad Samji directed action drama to double up in its lifetime, more so because the next big Hindi film Adipurush is two months away and that gives ample time and space to the Salman Khan starrer where it can keep going on and on for long. So far, the film has collected Rs 41.56 crores and with some push, it would be making a dash for that Rs 70 crores milestone been accomplished before the close of weekend.

Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
