Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Box Office: Film manages decent footfalls, collects Rs 15.81 cr on Day 1; all eyes on Eid growth today
There were decent footfalls on Friday for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan as Rs 15.81 crores came in. The numbers are in Rs 15-17 crores benchmark and a bit of a shortfall can easily be covered provided good growth comes in over Eid.
Today and tomorrow would be a good lucrative phase for the film considering the Eid festivities which should get the loyal Salman Khan fans back to theatres. There haven’t been many massy releases for this target segment and while Bholaa had arrived three weeks back, the period of Ramzan had already begun. Prior to that, the last such big massy entertainer was Pathaan and that was three months ago, which means there is a hungry audience waiting for a biggie to arrive in theatres. Hopefully, they would grab on to Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan from today onwards.
The industry has been waiting for a really big opener since the release of Pathaan and only three Hindi films have managed a double digit opening, which used to be rudimentary till three years back. With Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Bholaa and Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan bring these three films and the next potential opener, Adipurush, being two months away, it’s going to be a while before Bollywood gets back to its ‘big bucks Fridays’!
