Laal Singh Chaddha Advance Booking Report: Clocks a poor advance of only 1.1 lakh tickets; is below 83 and marginally higher than Jug Jugg Jeeyo

Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha has recorded a poor response in its advance bookings across the country. While the mass belts had negligible movement in ticket sales, the multiplexes too stayed on the lower side. According to our tracking, Laal Singh Chaddha has sold approximately 63,000 tickets at the three national chains - PVR, Inox, Cinepolis - with all India advance of approximately 1.10 lakh tickets.

The All India NETT advance of Laal Singh Chaddha for the opening day is around Rs. 2.25 crores, which is nothing but very poor for a film that marks the return of Aamir Khan after 4 long years. The advances are lower than other pandemic releases like 83, RRR and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and just marginally higher than Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Gangubai.

However, when compared to its competitor, Raksha Bandhan, the advances are almost 2 times more, though that's not much of an achievement, as even Raksha Bandhan has scored a poor advance. The fate of Laal Singh Chaddha will heavily depend on word of mouth. While single-screen audiences might not even enter the film, as their first preference will be Raksha Bandhan, the hope is on Laal Singh Chaddha to get cash registers ringing in the national multiplex chains to hit the century at-least.

The movie is headed for a double-digit opening, as we do anticipate some sort of walk-in audience due to the holiday on account of Raksha Bandhan.
