Ek Villain Returns Box Office: Film collects Rs. 7.47 cr on Day 2; emerges as tenth highest second day grosser of 2022

The Mohit Suri-directed venture Ek Villain Returns which is a sequel to the 2014 release Ek Villain was released on Friday. Starring Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria the film has been making waves in the run-up to its release. In fact, the music of the film seems to have caught on with tracks being heard almost everywhere. At the box office, Ek Villain Returns took off to an expected start with Rs. 7.05 cr coming in on its opening day. Now on its second day running the film has seen a marginal increase in business.

However, the second day business of Ek Villain Returns has managed to post better collections than certain other releases like Heropanti 2 which collected Rs. 5.50 cr, Radhe Shyam which collected Rs. 4.50 cr, Runway 34 which collected Rs. 4.50 cr, and Jersey which had collected Rs. 4.34 cr.

As of now, Ek Villain Returns continues to run in theatres and is likely to see an increase in business on its third day running. However, reports suggest that Ek Villain Returns has yet to entice the multiplex going audience in metro cities. Given this fact, trade opines that Ek Villain Returns could see it's opening weekend business cross the Rs. 20 cr mark.
