The film, which opened to a record-breaking response, has maintained remarkable momentum through its theatrical run. Despite entering its sixth weekend, Spider-Man: Brand New Day continued to attract audiences, collecting Rs. 43 lakh on Friday, Rs. 72 lakh on Saturday and Rs. 83 lakh on Sunday. With this, the film's Weekend 6 total stands at Rs. 1.98 crore, taking its overall India nett collection to Rs. 500.21 crore.

The film's journey to the Rs. 500 crore milestone has been particularly noteworthy. Released on Thursday, its extended first week of eight days brought in a massive Rs. 336 crore. It followed that up with Rs. 111.78 crore in Week 2, while Week 3 contributed another Rs. 31.70 crore. The Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan starrer Haiwaan was released with a lot of expectations due to its casting, thriller genre, four-day weekend in Maharashtra and Priyadarshan’s association as director. However, the opening was underwhelming and the film never managed to pick up over the weekend, possibly due to poor word of mouth. Competition from Mirzapur The Movie and Hanuman Ansh may have also played a part.

Haiwaan collected Rs. 2.79 crores on Day 1, which was below the expected Rs. 3-4 crore range. On Saturday, the earnings dropped to Rs. 2.13 crores, which was a telling sign. The thriller fell further on Sunday, collecting a mere Rs. 1.58 crores.

After such a performance over the weekend, it was evident that Haiwaan would fall below the Rs. 1 crore mark on the weekdays. And that’s exactly what happened. Haiwaan earned Rs. 64 lakhs on Monday, Rs. 59 lakhs on Tuesday, Rs. 47 lakhs on Wednesday and Rs. 48 lakhs on Thursday.

As a result, its first-week collections stand at Rs. 8.68 crores. On September 4, the English version of Yash-starrer Toxic was released in India. Bollywood Hungama was the first one to report that the film collected just Rs. 1.40 lakhs approximately. Just 450 tickets were sold across the country. The news went viral in no time. We now bring you a report on how the English version of Toxic fared over the week.

The first day of release turned out to be the best day for the English version of Toxic. The film collected Rs. 1.38 lakhs on Friday from 11 shows across four cities – Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram and Noida. On Saturday, the showcasing was reduced to seven shows in three cities – Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad – and the collections fell to Rs. 78,774. Even on Sunday, when the film continued to play in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, there was no weekend jump as the earnings slipped further to Rs. 70,460.

The situation worsened considerably on Monday, with Toxic crashing to just Rs. 15,034. Tuesday proved to be the film’s worst day, as the English version managed to collect a mere Rs. 3,125.

There was a marginal improvement on Wednesday, when the collections rose to Rs. 5,699, before falling again to Rs. 4,655 on Thursday. While the film was playing in Gurugram and Bengaluru on Monday, its showcasing was restricted to Bengaluru alone for the remaining weekdays, underlining the extremely poor demand for the English version.

As expected, owing to the extremely poor turnout, the English version of Toxic has been discontinued from Friday, September 11. What makes its performance all the more shocking is that Toxic was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, while it was dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Despite being an original-language version, the English edition found virtually no takers, not just in India but Overseas as well. As a result, the recovery from the English version has been negligible.

The English version of Toxic has a tighter narrative. This is because its runtime is 176.52 minutes. In other words, Toxic's English version is 2 hours, 56 minutes and 52 seconds. The rest of the versions of the Yash-starrer have a run time of 194.12 minutes, that is, 3 hours, 14 minutes and 12 seconds.

What makes the achievement remarkable is that Hanuman Ansh accomplished it on Day 26 of its theatrical run.

The film collected a fantastic Rs. 8.07 crore on its 26th day, thereby going past Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, which collected Rs. 6.90 crore across all languages on Day 7. In other words, a film nearing the completion of four weeks in cinemas managed to comfortably outperform one of the biggest releases of the year while the latter was still in its opening week. The difference between the two films stood at Rs. 1.17 crore, with Hanuman Ansh collecting nearly 17% more than Toxic on Tuesday.

More importantly, September 1 marks a historic moment in the theatrical journey of Hanuman Ansh. Despite its sensational trajectory over the last couple of weeks, the film had never previously topped the daily India box-office chart. Day 26 finally changed that, with Hanuman Ansh becoming the highest-grossing film in India across all languages for the day.

The achievement becomes even more astonishing when one considers where the film started. Hanuman Ansh opened to extremely modest numbers and initially appeared destined for a limited theatrical run. However, exceptional word of mouth resulted in collections multiplying dramatically as exhibitors increased shows to cater to the rising demand.

Its performance is the exact opposite of the conventional box-office trajectory, where films usually register their biggest numbers during the opening weekend before gradually losing momentum. Hanuman Ansh, remarkably, has become stronger with each passing week.

For a 26-day-old film to beat a seven-day-old event film like Toxic is a rare box-office occurrence. And with Hanuman Ansh finally becoming the No. 1 film in India, its fairy-tale run has added yet another extraordinary chapter.

Every punt has an upside and a downside, and unfortunately, Toxic is facing the latter. After a bumper opening of Rs. 118 crore GBOC in India, it has been a journey of tragedy and depression for Toxic as the collections have come down crashing on a day-to-day basis. According to early estimates, the first Monday collections of Toxic is expected to be in the range of Rs 6.50 crore to Rs 7.00 crore.

Of this, the Hindi version will end up contributing a gross of about 4.50 crore, whereas the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada version collectively will end up collecting another Rs 2.50 crore. The film has faced complete rejection all across the board, and there won't be any redemption of sorts in the day to come.

The 6-day total of Toxic led by Yash stands at Rs. 238 crore, and the film will be looking at a dismal finish in the range of Rs. 260 crore. One must note that this is also happening largely due to the strong number it posed on the opening day.

After collecting Rs. 124 crores in its 5-day opening weekend, the Yash led Toxic has seen a huge drop in collections on the first Monday. According to very early estimates, the Geethu Mohandas directorial is looking to collect in the range of Rs. 3.25 crores to Rs. 3.75 crores on the 6th Day, taking the total collections to Rs.127.50 crores.

It's a drop of 94 percent from the opening day, which easily qualifies as one of the biggest ever Monday drops of all time. The film will struggle to even hit the Rs. 150 crore mark in Hindi and to think of it, that's crazy given the fact that it opened to a historic number of Rs. 53.50 crores.

Toxic is headed to emerge as one of the BIGGEST DISASTERS of all time as the losses are expected to be monumental.

The reports of Toxic are disastrous to say the least, and the collections are a replica of the same. There will be another drop on Tuesday, and the film is likely to be out of cinema halls from the second week due to no show in the audiences.
