Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are love struck in intimate mehendi and sangeet ceremonies in Lucknow, see photos

Following several years of courtship, Fukrey actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal tied the knot and hosted a few intimate ceremonies in Delhi and Lucknow. The actors are in Lucknow to celebrate another intimate celebration and party being hosted to celebrate their union. The couple has been sharing moments from the celebrations on social media.

Their mehendi and sangeet were characterised by their love for nature with the decor being inspired by nature with a lot of natural elements like florals, jute, wood etc. The couple did a fun “phoolon ki holi” as their friends and family showered them in a customary way.

This was followed by mehendi for Richa and her friends in a colourful set-up. The evening was followed by performances by their friends and cousins.

Richa’s best friend from childhood did a fun surprise performance for the couple, while her brother sang her a song and did a Bhangra performance too.

The couple then danced to two songs including their popular song from Fukrey, ‘Ambersariya’.

Earlier this week, they shared an audio note ahead of their wedding celebrations. However, in the voice clip, they shared that they had formalised their union in 2020. Ali and Richa took to their Instagram accounts, where they shared the voice note along with a throwback picture featuring the two. In the audio note, Richa is heard saying, "Two years ago we formalised our union and just then the pandemic hit us all, pressing a pause button on our celebrations and life."

Ali said, "Like the rest of the nation, we too were struck by personal tragedies one after the other. And now, as we all enjoy this window of respite, we are finally celebrating with our families and friends and are so very touched and grateful for all the blessings that are coming our way. We offer you nothing but our love. Thank you."

For unversed, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, who have been dating for a really long time, were originally meant to be wedded in April 2020, but owing to COVID-19 restrictions, the wedding was positioned twice. The two reportedly met on the sets of Fukrey in 2012 for the first time. The two will soon be seen sharing screen once again in the third instalment of the Fukrey franchise.
