Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has continued its steady run at the Indian box office, recording a good fourth weekend despite stiff competition and reduced showcasing. The epic has maintained momentum among audiences and added another Rs. 10.27 crores to its India collections over the weekend.

The film, which has been holding well since its release, collected Rs. 2.29 crores on Friday. The collections witnessed a noticeable jump on Saturday as The Odyssey earned Rs. 4.05 crores. The film continued its strong performance on Sunday, bringing in another Rs. 3.93 crores. This took its fourth weekend total to Rs. 10.27 crores.

With the latest weekend collections, The Odyssey has now collected a total of Rs. 165.28 crores in India. The film has managed to sustain its box office performance over multiple weeks, which has kept it on course for another significant milestone.

The Christopher Nolan directorial is now on its way to reaching the Rs. 175 crores mark in India. With around Rs. 9.72 crores still required to reach the milestone, the film could get there in the coming days.

The film’s fourth weekend performance is particularly significant considering that it is now competing with newer releases for screens and audience attention. However, the sustained collections indicate that The Odyssey continues to find an audience in the country.

For Nolan, the India performance of The Odyssey further underlines the strong theatrical following enjoyed by his films in the country. The film is expected to continue its run in the coming days as it moves closer to the Rs. 175 crore milestone.

The web-slinger has rewritten history at the Indian box office. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has emerged as the highest-grossing Hollywood film of all time in India, surpassing the lifetime business of James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water. The superhero entertainer achieved the milestone during its second weekend, adding a strong Rs. 83.80 crores in its second weekend alone. The film collected Rs. 14.60 crores on Friday, followed by a major jump on Saturday with Rs. 34.20 crores. It continued its impressive run on Sunday, collecting Rs. 35 crores.

With this, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has taken its overall India nett collection to Rs. 419.80 crores, officially moving past Avatar: The Way of Water and claiming the top spot among Hollywood releases in the country. The film had already enjoyed a phenomenal first week, collecting Rs. 336 crores in eight days after releasing on Thursday. Its second-weekend performance has now pushed the film into an entirely new league, with the total standing at Rs. 419.80 crores.

The achievement is particularly significant given the strength of Avatar: The Way of Water, which had remained the benchmark for Hollywood films at the Indian box office. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now dethroned the James Cameron directorial, underlining the unprecedented popularity of the Spider-Man franchise in India.

Interestingly, the film has achieved the feat without showing any signs of a major slowdown in its second week. The Rs. 34.20 crores Saturday and Rs. 35 crores Sunday collections indicate that the superhero spectacle continues to draw audiences in large numbers.

With its latest milestone, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has not only become the biggest Hollywood grosser in India but has also crossed another historic barrier, becoming the first Hollywood film to enter the Rs. 400 crore club in the country.

The achievement comes despite the film being in its second weekend, with audiences continuing to show strong interest in the superhero entertainer. The substantial jump on Saturday has further strengthened its position and put it within touching distance of another major milestone.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to cross the Rs. 400 crores mark in India today. With Rs. 384.80 crores already accumulated, the film needs only Rs. 15.20 crores more to reach the coveted milestone. Given its Saturday performance, crossing Rs. 400 crores appears well within reach.

The film's achievement also marks another significant moment for Hollywood releases in India. Having already surpassed Avatar: The Way of Water, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now expected to continue adding to its total over the coming days until the release of Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2 on August 14.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Brand New Day has scripted history at the Indian box office by becoming the first Hollywood film ever to feature in the Top 10 Biggest Single Day Grossers in the country. The film's phenomenal Day 4 (Sunday) collection of Rs. 77.50 crore has earned it the 8th spot on the all-time list, placing it alongside some of Indian cinema's biggest blockbusters.

The achievement underlines just how strongly the latest Spider-Man adventure has resonated with Indian audiences. Until now, the prestigious list had been dominated exclusively by homegrown spectacles, with titles such as Dhurandhar The Revenge, Pushpa 2 - The Rule, and Jawan occupying the top positions. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has broken that monopoly, becoming the only international film to secure a place among the country's biggest single-day earners.

The all-time chart continues to be led by Dhurandhar The Revenge, which occupies four spots with collections of Rs. 99.99 crore (Day 3), Rs. 99.99 crore (Day 4), Rs. 90 crore (Day 1), and Rs. 81 crore (Day 2). Pushpa 2 - The Rule follows with Rs. 86 crore on Day 4 and Rs. 74 crore on Day 3, while Jawan features with Rs. 80.10 crore (Day 4), Rs. 77.83 crore (Day 3), and Rs. 75 crore (Day 1). Nestled between these Indian juggernauts is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, whose Rs. 77.50 crore Sunday haul has created a milestone for Hollywood cinema in India.

The feat reflects the ever-growing appetite of Indian moviegoers for event films but also highlights the enduring popularity of Spider-Man as a theatrical draw. By breaking into a list long dominated by Hindi and pan-India blockbusters, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has delivered a landmark moment for Hollywood releases in the Indian market.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to rewrite the record books at the Indian box office. The Marvel blockbuster has now crossed the coveted Rs. 300 crore mark within just 6 days of its release, emerging as only the third Hollywood film ever to achieve the feat in India.

With a current lifetime collection of Rs. 305.11 crore, the superhero spectacle has climbed to the third spot among the highest-grossing Hollywood releases in the country. It now trails only Avatar: The Way of Water (Rs. 378.22 crore) and Avengers: Endgame (Rs. 373.22 crore), while comfortably moving ahead of Avengers: Infinity War (Rs. 227.43 crore) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (Rs. 218.41 crore).

The milestone once again underlines Spider-Man's immense popularity with Indian audiences. In achieving the feat, Brand New Day has also become the biggest Spider-Man film ever in India, surpassing the lifetime collections of Spider-Man: No Way Home by a significant margin.

The film's blockbuster run has further strengthened Marvel's standing in the Indian market, with audiences continuing to turn up in large numbers well beyond its opening weekend. It also sits comfortably ahead of recent Hollywood successes such as Avatar: Fire and Ash (Rs. 206.55 crore), The Jungle Book (Rs. 188 crore), The Lion King (Rs. 158.71 crore), The Odyssey (Rs. 151.35 crore) and Mufasa: The Lion King (Rs. 132.60 crore).

Comebacks in the film industry are often declared on the strength of one successful Friday. In Akshay Kumar’s case, however, the revival is no longer dependent on a single film, franchise or favourable weekend. It is visible across releases, across years and, most importantly, in the dramatic rise in his average box-office collection per movie.

After enduring arguably the most challenging phase of his career between 2022 and 2024, Akshay Kumar has engineered a remarkable turnaround. The superstar has not merely returned to delivering successful films; he has substantially raised the minimum level at which his films are now performing.

And the number crunching by Bollywood Hungama tells a fascinating story.

Between 2022 and 2024, Akshay Kumar appeared in ten theatrical releases, which collectively earned approximately Rs. 484.84 crores at the India box office. This translated into an average of Rs. 48.48 crores per film.

In 2025, Akshay’s four releases Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5 and Jolly LLB 3 collected a combined Rs. 499.03 crores. In other words, four Akshay Kumar films released in 2025 earned more than his ten films released between 2022 and 2024 combined. That single comparison captures the scale of his resurgence.

From Rs. 40.55 crores to Rs. 124.76 crores in just one year

The turnaround becomes even more striking when measured on a per-film basis.

In 2024, Akshay’s three releases amassed Rs. 121.66 crores, averaging Rs. 40.55 crores per film. A year later in 2025, his average jumped to Rs. 124.76 crores, more than three times the 2024 figure.

This was not achieved through one disproportionately huge blockbuster carrying the remaining films. Akshay’s 2025 slate displayed an encouraging consistency: Sky Force: Rs. 131.44 crores, Kesari Chapter 2: Rs. 93.28 crores, Housefull 5: Rs. 160.72 crores and Jolly LLB 3: Rs. 113.59 crores

Three of the four films crossed Rs. 100 crores, while the fourth came within touching distance of the landmark. More significantly, not one Akshay Kumar release in 2025 finished below Rs. 90 crores.

This represents a complete reversal from the preceding three-year period. Of Akshay’s ten releases between 2022 and 2024, only OMG 2 crossed Rs. 100 crores, while seven films ended below Rs. 60 crores. The most important feature of Akshay Kumar’s comeback, therefore, is not simply that the ceiling has risen. His box-office floor has risen dramatically as well.

Period Films Total collections Average per film

2022–2024 combined 10 Rs. 484.84 cr. Rs. 48.48 cr.

2025 4 Rs. 499.03 cr. Rs. 124.76 cr.

2026 so far 2 Rs. 299.01 cr. Rs. 149.51 cr.

2026 projected 4 Rs. 599.01 cr. Rs. 149.75 cr.

2026: Akshay Kumar raises the average once again

If 2025 marked the comeback, 2026 is beginning to establish that the recovery was no temporary spike.

Akshay Kumar’s first two releases of 2026, Bhooth Bangla and Welcome To The Jungle, have collected Rs. 168.26 crores and Rs. 130.75 crores, respectively. Their combined collection currently stands at approximately Rs. 299.01 crores.

That gives Akshay an extraordinary average of Rs. 149.51 crores per film in 2026, nearly 20% higher than his already impressive 2025 average of Rs. 124.76 crores.

Consider the larger picture: Akshay’s two releases in 2026 have already earned almost two-and-a-half times the combined collections of his three releases in the whole of 2024.

Moreover, each of his four most recent releases Housefull 5, Jolly LLB 3, Bhooth Bangla and Welcome To The Jungle has crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark. Across his last six films, five have entered the Rs. 100 crore club, with the only exception, Kesari Chapter 2, finishing at a respectable Rs. 93.28 crores. This is no longer an isolated recovery. It is a sustained box-office run.

The same prolific output that magnified the downturn now proves the comeback

Akshay Kumar’s prolific working style has frequently been cited during discussions surrounding his career. When several films underperformed in quick succession, the sheer frequency of his releases made the downturn appear even more severe. But the same volume now makes his resurgence mathematically difficult to dispute.

A star can occasionally benefit from one powerful franchise, a major holiday date or an exceptional director. Akshay’s recovery, however, has extended across six releases and two consecutive years. It is reflected not only in cumulative collections but also in the average generated by every film carrying his name.

The audience is not merely turning up for one particular Akshay Kumar character. It is once again responding to Akshay Kumar as a theatrical proposition. That distinction is crucial.

Can Akshay Kumar touch Rs. 600 crores in 2026?

Akshay still has two significant films lined up: Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan, co-starring Saif Ali Khan, and his untitled comedy directed by Anees Bazmee, featuring Vidya Balan. Both films have been announced for theatrical release during the remaining months of 2026.  If the two films collectively add approximately Rs. 300 crores to Akshay’s existing 2026 tally, his cumulative collections for the year would reach an estimated Rs. 599.01 crores.

That would make 2026:

• Approximately 20% bigger than 2025 in cumulative collections; • Approximately 24% bigger than the combined collections of 2022, 2023 and 2024; • Akshay Kumar’s highest-grossing year since 2019; • His strongest year of the entire post-pandemic period; • And, at an estimated Rs. 149.75 crores per film, his best annual average since 2019.

The projection is naturally dependent on how the two forthcoming films perform.

Akshay Kumar is not waiting for a comeback. The comeback has already happened and 2026 could turn it into one of the most compelling second acts witnessed in the career of a Hindi film superstar.

Dhamaal 4 continued its steady theatrical run in its fourth weekend, collecting Rs. 4.48 crores and taking its cumulative total to Rs. 157.29 crores.

The comedy entertainer collected Rs. 1.08 crores on its fourth Friday and witnessed a healthy 46% jump on Saturday, earning Rs. 1.58 crores. It registered further growth on Sunday, collecting Rs. 1.82 crores. As a result, the fourth-weekend collections amounted to Rs. 4.48 crores.

The film had collected Rs. 12.60 crores in its third weekend. Therefore, the fourth weekend witnessed a drop of approximately 64.44%. Nevertheless, the fact that Dhamaal 4 continues to attract audiences more than three weeks after its release indicates that the film has maintained a reasonable hold despite competition from newer releases.

Fourth weekend breakdown: Friday – Rs. 1.08 cr. Saturday – Rs. 1.58 cr. Sunday – Rs. 1.82 cr.

With weekday collections yet to come, Dhamaal 4 is now set to cross the Rs. 160 crore mark. Its eventual lifetime collections will depend on how strongly it sustains during the fourth week and the screens it retains in the coming weekend.

The Tom Holland led Spider-Man: Brand New Day is on a spectacular run at the box office in India. After collecting Rs. 180 crores over the 3-day opening weekend, the superhero film has gone all out on Sunday, scoring in the range of Rs. 78 crores to Rs. 80 crores taking the 4-day extended opening weekend collection to around Rs. 260 crores.

The film ran riot all across the board - ranging from the single screens to the urban areas - and overperformed vis-a-vis the projections. For the record, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has clocked the biggest opening weekend of all time for a Hollywood film in India, as also the biggest of all time for a superhero film.

The multiplexes have contributed about 50 per cent to the total business all through the weekend, and the Tom Holland starrer is expected to show a strong hold in collections on Monday as well. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will emerge as the #1 Hollywood Film of all time by going by the lifetime collections of Avatar: The Way of Water (Rs. 380 crores), but the real aim will be to enter not just the Rs. 400 crore club, but also the Rs. 500 crore club.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a BLOCKBUSTER, and it now remains to be seen how big a number it hits by the end of its run.

The Tom Holland led Spiderman: Brand New Day is unstoppable at the box office in India, as the film went on a record breaking spree on a day to day basis. After collecting Rs 109 crore in 2 days, the superhero saga has seen a massive surge in business on Saturday, recording the biggest collections of the run.

According to early estimates, Spiderman: Brand New Day has collected around Rs 65 crore on Saturday, taking the total collections in the vicinity of Rs 175 crore. The film will see another surge in business on Sunday, and is looking to score an opening weekend around Rs 240 crore.

This would mean the biggest ever opening weekend for a Hollywood film in India, topping the previous best - Avengers: End Game. The film will also be looking to emerge as #1 Hollywood Film of All Time In India, surpassing Avatar: The Way of Water, which collected Rs 380 crore back in 2022.

Spiderman: Brand New Day is a BLOCKBUSTER and it remains to be seen how big it goes in the days to come. The Monday collections will decide if it stays in the race to make an entry in the Rs 500 crore club.

The Tom Holland led Spiderman: Brand New Day is on a spectacular run at the box office in India. After opening at Rs 61 crore on Thursday, the film has shown a strong hold in collections on Friday as early estimates indicate second day business in the range of Rs 52.00 crore to Rs 55.00 crore. It's a 10 percent drop from Thursday, and as was always expected, in-fact could have been a lot more.

With this, the two day collections of Spiderman: Brand New Day stands at Rs 114 crore, and it is headed to score an opening weekend in the vicinity of Rs 235 crore in India. The reports are phenomenal, and the best two days of run are expected to come on Saturday and Sunday. If the film accelerates beyond expectations, there is a shot at Rs 240 crore as well.

The film is a BLOCKBUSTER, and is headed to emerge the #1 Hollywood film of all time in India by surpassing the Rs 380 crore nett record held by Avatar: Way of Water. It will also emerge the biggest ever superhero film in India going past the mighty Avengers: End Games, which earned around Rs 280 crore.

The advances for Saturday and Sunday are fantastic, and the film is bound to showcase strong hold on Monday, given that the reports are on the positive side too.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has swung into the record books with an extraordinary opening day performance at the Indian box office. The superhero spectacle collected Rs. 61.52 crores on its first day, making it the highest opening day grosser ever for a Hollywood film in India.

In doing so, the latest Spider-Man adventure has comfortably eclipsed the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame, which had opened to Rs. 53.10 crores in 2019. The difference of over Rs. 8 crores underlines just how massive the film's debut has been, especially considering Endgame had long been regarded as the benchmark for Hollywood releases in the country.

The scale of the achievement becomes even more evident when compared with the rest of the all-time list. Avatar: The Way of Water follows in third place with an opening day collection of Rs. 40 crores, while Spider-Man: No Way Home had begun its run with Rs. 32.67 crores. Avengers: Infinity War rounds off the top five with Rs. 31.30 crores, meaning Brand New Day has surpassed every previous Hollywood opener by a significant margin.

The gap widens further down the rankings. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opened at Rs. 28.35 crores, Deadpool & Wolverine collected Rs. 21 crores, while Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning registered Rs. 18.89 crores on day one. Thor: Love and Thunder debuted with Rs. 18.20 crores, and Avatar: Fire and Ash completed the top ten with Rs. 18 crores.

What makes Spider-Man: Brand New Day's performance particularly noteworthy is the distance it has created from the rest of the field. It is not merely another film entering the record books; it has rewritten them. The film has become the first Hollywood release in India to cross the Rs. 60 crores mark on its opening day, setting a new benchmark for future international releases.

The latest Spider-Man film also reinforces the enduring popularity of the web-slinger among Indian audiences. Interestingly, the franchise now boasts two entries in the all-time top four, with Spider-Man: No Way Home having previously held one of the strongest openings for a Hollywood title. With Brand New Day now claiming the top spot, the franchise has further strengthened its box office legacy in the country.

By debuting with Rs. 61.52 crores, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has not only dethroned Avengers: Endgame but has also established a new all-time opening day record for Hollywood cinema in India, setting a benchmark that will be difficult to surpass.

The Tom Holland-led Spider-Man: Brand New Day has set the box office on fire, with early estimates indicating opening-day collections in the range of Rs. 61 crores to Rs. 63 crores. The film has set an all-time record for a Hollywood film in India, surpassing the previous best, Avengers: Endgame, which opened at Rs. 53.1 crores back in 2019.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has surpassed all industry projections by getting footfalls all across the board from the mass belts to the urban areas. The top 3 national chains have collected around Rs. 32 crores on the opening day, contributing 52 per cent to the total business, which is big for a Hollywood film.

The reports are phenomenal, which means that the superhero saga will emerge as a massive blockbuster in India. The four-day opening weekend of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to be around the Rs. 225 crore mark, and that should keep it on track to hit the Rs. 400 crore mark in India to emerge the no. 1 Hollywood title of all time.

The present record holder is Avatar: Way of Water, at Rs. 373 crores and Spider-Man: Brand New Day will easily top this to emerge the no. 1 film of all time. In fact, it should even hit Rs. 400 crores. But the record might not stay for longer, as Avengers: Doomsday will aim to surpass this later this year.

The Odyssey is enjoying a dream run at the box office. On July 29, just a day before it faced major competition from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the period epic achieved a significant milestone. In only 13 days, it surpassed the lifetime collections of director Christopher Nolan’s previous film, Oppenheimer (2023).

Oppenheimer was also a huge success in India and despite its complex and niche subject, it collected an impressive Rs. 128.46 crores in its lifetime. The Odyssey surpassed that figure in just 13 days. Moreover, its relatively straightforward and simplistic storytelling helped it appeal to a wider audience. Christopher Nolan’s visit to Mumbai, accompanied by actors Tom Holland and Matt Damon, further added to the hype and excitement surrounding the film in the Indian market.

At the same time, what has truly been remarkable about the collections is the share from the IMAX screens. The Odyssey is the first film to be completely filmed in IMAX and hence, there’s a tremendous demand to catch the film in the premium format. As a result, the footfalls in the IMAX version are very strong. Even in the weekdays, the occupancy hasn’t gone down below 55% in a single day.

As per the data accessed by Bollywood Hungama, as of July 29, The Odyssey has collected Rs. 132.65 crores in India. The share of the IMAX version, meanwhile, is a huge Rs. 48.25 crores. In other words, 36.4% of The Odyssey’s total India collections came from just 34 IMAX screens! This is a feat for a film that had a release in more than 2000 screens.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day released today, July 30, and owing to the historic demand, cinemas have allotted it a large number of shows across various formats and languages. As a result, The Odyssey has witnessed a significant reduction in showcasing, which is likely to affect its collections from here on. However, it will continue to be screened in IMAX, where the demand remains extremely strong. Shows for the coming weekend are already filling up rapidly.

This means that The Odyssey should comfortably cross the Rs. 150 crores mark and could even finish in the Rs. 160-170 crores range. A major factor behind this will be the substantial contribution from IMAX screens, where demand is expected to remain rock-solid over the next couple of weeks.

The 13-day collections of The Odyssey Day 1 [Friday, July 17] - Rs. 16.08 cr Day 2 [Saturday, July 18] - Rs. 20.92 cr Day 3 [Sunday, July 19] - Rs. 19.85 cr Day 4 [Monday, July 20] - Rs. 7.77 cr Day 5 [Tuesday, July 21] - Rs. 7.34 cr Day 6 [Wednesday, July 22] - Rs. 6.93 cr Day 7 [Thursday, July 23] - Rs. 6.61 cr Day 8 [Friday, July 24] - Rs. 6.71 cr Day 9 [Saturday, July 25] - Rs. 10.99 cr Day 10 [Sunday, July 26] - Rs. 11.39 cr Day 11 [Monday, July 27] - Rs. 4.67 cr Day 12 [Tuesday, July 28] - Rs. 5.36 cr Day 13 [Wednesday, July 29] - Rs. 4.93 cr TOTAL – Rs. 132.65 cr

Four and a half months after Dhurandhar The Revenge, Indian box office will evidence its biggest arrival in theatres in the form of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Such is the ‘brand value’ of this franchise that without any active promotion or marketing whatsoever, it’s just the very title of the film which has resulted in massive advance bookings for weeks prior to release. Moreover, last one week has seen ticket sales already with more than 10,000 tickets disappearing every hour and since yesterday, the trending for most part of the day has been 20,000+.

All of this means that a blockbuster start is assured for this Marvel movie, which has so much of goodwill going for it, especially after Tom Holland’s visit to India, albeit for a different movie, The Odyssey. It would suffice to say that even if this visit wouldn’t have happened, the opening day would still have headed for a mammoth score. Spider-Man is one character which has survived for generations and is really loveable for everyone for almost half a century now. Moreover, given the kind of hype that one can already see around it, he isn’t going to stop swinging anytime soon.

Meanwhile, the swing at the box office is all set to tilt towards Rs. 60 crores mark. The advance booking has pretty much ensured that Rs. 55 crores is there for the taking. The film could well run into a capacity issue but if more screens and shows open up today due to heavy demand then the number could well exceed even Rs. 60 crores mark. Basically, the film is a hit before release itself and it has to be seen how far does it go after the opening day.

The Tom Holland led Spider-Man: Brand New Day has set the box office on fire in India, as the superhero saga is headed to score an all-time record for a Hollywood film. As per the current advance booking trends, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has a shot at defeating Avengers: Endgame to take the no. 1 opening for a Hollywood film in India.

The Marvel Superhero film has clocked an advance booking of Rs. 35 crores for the opening day alone, and that's with about 36 hours still to go for the release day. The final advance for Spider-Man: Brand New Day could be as high as Rs. 50 crores, which more or less seals a record-breaking start in India.

For those unaware, Avengers: Endgame opened at Rs. 53.50 crores, and Spider-Man will be targeting a start in the vicinity of Rs. 55 to 60 crores. The walk-ins would be low as almost everything in the metros should be sold out in advance.

The film has sold around 3.75 lakh tickets in the top 3 national chains - PVRInox and Cinepolis - and is looking at a final advance in the vicinity of 5 lakh tickets for the opening day alone. That's not all, the pre-sales are phenomenal in the non-national chains as also the single screens, which means that the exhibitors are set to go on a crazy ride.

Spiderman is set to score history, as the film is commanding terrific sales for the extended opening weekend too, and the four-day business could be as high as Rs. 225 crore in India.

Dhamaal 4 has maintained a steady run at the Indian box office and has now accumulated Rs. 148.43 crores in 18 days. Going by its present trajectory, the comic entertainer is expected to finish with lifetime collections of approximately Rs. 165 crores.

The film began its journey on a healthy note, collecting Rs. 13.72 crores on its opening day. It witnessed significant growth over the opening weekend, earning Rs. 22.48 crores on Saturday and Rs. 28.15 crores on Sunday. As a result, Dhamaal 4 recorded an impressive opening weekend of Rs. 64.35 crores. The film remained steady during the weekdays and concluded its first week with collections of Rs. 94.45 crores. It comfortably crossed the Rs. 100-crore mark during its second weekend and collected Rs. 39.75 crores in its second week, taking its two-week total to Rs. 134.20 crores.

Dhamaal 4 continued to attract audiences during its third weekend as well. It collected Rs. 2.32 crores on its third Friday, followed by Rs. 4.45 crores on Saturday and Rs. 5.83 crores on Sunday. The third-weekend total, therefore, stood at Rs. 12.60 crores. The film collected another Rs. 1.63 crores on its third Monday, taking its cumulative collection to Rs. 148.43 crores. It is now expected to cross the Rs. 150-crore milestone over the next couple of days.

The collections are likely to experience another drop with fresh releases arriving in cinemas. Nevertheless, Dhamaal 4 should continue collecting at lower levels for a few more weeks, particularly in mass centres and locations where comedy and family entertainers traditionally enjoy longer runs.

Based on the present trend, the film is expected to earn another Rs. 15-18 crores during the remainder of its theatrical journey. This would take its lifetime collection to somewhere between Rs. 163 crores and Rs. 167 crores.

A collection of approximately Rs. 165 crores appears to be the most realistic outcome at this point in time.

The battle between the two ensemble comedy entertainers, Dhamaal 4 and Welcome to the Jungle, has produced an interesting box office comparison. While both films arrived with popular franchises, sprawling star casts and strong audience awareness, Dhamaal 4 has established a substantial lead over Welcome to the Jungle, particularly when their respective 17th-day performances are compared.

On its third Sunday, July 26, 2026, Dhamaal 4 collected an impressive Rs. 5.82 crores at the box office. The film was screened across 5,492 shows and recorded an overall occupancy of 23.60%. It sold as many as 2,62,903 tickets during the day.

In comparison, Welcome to the Jungle collected Rs. 1.85 crores on its 17th day, which fell on Sunday, July 12, 2026. It played across 2,266 shows, registered an occupancy of 20.80% and sold 81,069 tickets.

Hence, Dhamaal 4 earned Rs. 3.97 crores more than Welcome to the Jungle on Day 17. In percentage terms, the fourth instalment of the Dhamaal franchise collected approximately 214.6% more than Welcome to the Jungle. Put simply, its Day 17 business was more than three times that of the Akshay Kumar-starrer.

The difference in ticket sales was equally striking. Dhamaal 4 sold 1,81,834 more tickets than Welcome to the Jungle on the corresponding day. Its ticket sales were approximately 3.24 times those of Welcome to the Jungle, representing a jump of around 224%.

The wider showcasing enjoyed by Dhamaal 4 undoubtedly contributed to its superior collections. It had 5,492 shows on Day 17, compared to 2,266 shows for Welcome to the Jungle. Therefore, Dhamaal 4 played across 3,226 additional shows and had around 2.42 times the number of shows available to the audience.

However, the difference cannot be attributed to showcasing alone. Despite playing across a much wider number of shows, Dhamaal 4 also recorded the better occupancy. Its occupancy of 23.60% was 2.8 percentage points higher than the 20.80% occupancy registered by Welcome to the Jungle. Maintaining a higher occupancy despite having over twice the number of shows indicates that Dhamaal 4 enjoyed considerably stronger demand during its third weekend.

On average, Dhamaal 4 sold approximately 48 tickets per show on Day 17. Welcome to the Jungle, meanwhile, sold around 36 tickets per show. Therefore, Dhamaal 4 sold approximately 34% more tickets per show, further underlining that its advantage was not limited merely to its larger screen and show count.

The estimated average collection per show also favoured Dhamaal 4. The film generated approximately Rs. 10,600 per show, compared to around Rs. 8,164 per show for Welcome to the Jungle. This means that Dhamaal 4 earned nearly 30% more per show on its 17th day.

The strong Day 17 performance suggests that Dhamaal 4 retained considerable momentum even after completing more than two weeks in cinemas. A collection of Rs. 5.82 crores on the third Sunday is particularly noteworthy and indicates that the film continued to attract family audiences and benefit from the weekend jump.

Meanwhile, the lifetime comparison, calculated for both films as of July 26, also places Dhamaal 4 comfortably ahead. Dhamaal 4 had accumulated Rs. 146.93 crores by this date, while Welcome to the Jungle stood at Rs. 130.46 crores. Consequently, Dhamaal 4 leads by Rs. 16.47 crores in terms of lifetime collections. Its cumulative business is approximately 12.6% higher than that of Welcome to the Jungle.

Overall, Dhamaal 4 emerged as the clear winner in the Day 17 box office comparison. It recorded higher collections, occupancy, ticket sales, shows, tickets sold per show and estimated revenue per show. More importantly, its robust third-Sunday performance helped it consolidate its lead over Welcome to the Jungle in the lifetime box office race.
