Thamma Box Office Estimate Day 1: Shatters expectations with Rs. 25 crores; Ayushmann’s BIGGEST opener ever!
The Diwali 2025 release, Thamma has proved to be a box-office dhamaka as the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe film has surpassed all expectations on the opening day as per early estimates. According to our tracking, the Dinesh Vijan produced film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna has opened in the range of Rs. 24 crores to Rs. 26 crores, which is about 30 percent higher than the pre-release expectations.
The film has taken a start all across the board - be it single screens or multiplexes - and the collections were on the rise on a show-to-show basis, indicating a strong word of mouth among the cinema-going audience. The film yet again showcases the strength of the horror comedy universe, and this establishes it as one of the most successful universes of Indian cinema.
The film has emerged as the #1 opener to date for Ayushmann Khurrana, and this has come despite a clash with another film - Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. The reports are plus, which means that a Rs. 100 crore plus weekend (Tuesday to Sunday) is on cards for this horror comedy.
