The trailer of Milan Luthria’s Sultan of Delhi out
The trailer of Milan Luthria’s period crime drama series Sultan of Delhi was unveiled on Friday. The Disney+ Hotstar series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Sharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak and Nishant Dahiya in pivotal roles. The series also features Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi and Mehreen Pirzada.
The show is based on the 2016 book Sultan of Delhi: Ascension written by Arnab Ray.
The trailer shows Tahir and Anjumm as two gangsters trying to rise up the echelons of Delhi’s crime world. Vinay Pathak plays Jagan Seth, an illegal arms dealer, for whom Tahir starts working. Nishant Dahiya plays a rich scion who is eager to take over his father’s empire. Mouni Roy seems to be in the role of a scarlet while Anupriya Goenka is seen as a character seducing those in power to steer them as per her whims.
The series’ director Milan Luthria is known for films like Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), The Dirty Pictureb (2011) and Tadap (2021). The series will be the OTT debut for the director.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Sultan of Delhi will stream from October 13 on Disney+ Hotstar.
