Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan takes over Pathaan’s lifetime collection: Report

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan has finally overtaken the superstar’s hit Pathaan at the box office. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Jawan made Rs 13 crore on Saturday, Day 17 since its release. This took the nett domestic collection of the film to Rs 546 crore. Pathaan’s lifetime collection in the domestic market was Rs 543 crore.

Globally, Pathaan made over Rs 1000 crore, Jawan, on the other hand stands at Rs 953.97 crore as of Day 17. The film has been setting records. It had the biggest opening for a Hindi film with Rs 75 crore, biggest one day collection with Rs 80 crore on first Saturday and biggest opening week with Rs 389 crore. It also became the fastest Hindi movie to pass the Rs 100 crore, Rs 200 crore, Rs 300 crore, Rs 400 crore and Rs 500 crore milestones. The film has made SRK the only Bollywood actor to give two over Rs 500 crore grossers in one year. The star will be coming with his final release for the year with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in December.

Apart from Shah Rukh, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and has a special appearance by Deepika Padukone. The film has been directed by Atlee.
