Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan eyes Rs 600-crore mark globally
Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is inching close to the Rs 600-crore mark. As per the film’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, the Atlee directorial has made Rs 574.89 crore (gross) at the global box office till Monday, five days since its release.
As per film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Jawan’s Hindi version has made Rs 282.58 crore in five days. The film opened with Rs 65.50 crore on Thursday followed by Rs 46.23 crore on Friday and Rs 68.72 crore on Saturday respectively. It made Rs 71.63 crore on Sunday and Rs 30.50 crore on Monday respectively.
Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Ridhi Dogra, among others. Deepika Padukone has a cameo appearance in the film.
A commercial action drama, Jawan features Khan as a father and son who team up to destroy the forces that plague society. Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for the film. Jawan also features cinematography by GK Vishnu and editing by Ruben.
