Shah Rukh Khan replies to Karan Johar’s praise for Jawan, says ‘audience is emperor’

After Karan Johar praised Shah Rukh Khan and the entire Jawan team for the film, SRK took to X on Thursday to reply to the director stating that he was “thrilled that he liked the film.”

Earlier on Thursday, Karan had posted a photo of the Jawan poster and described the Atlee directorial as “the kind of adrenaline rush film with big emotion that Indian cinema embodies.”

Karan also praised the performances of SRK, Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Appreciating director Atlee’s work he wrote, “OMFG!!!!! I am late to this party!!!! But what a party this is!!!! @atlee47 hits it out of the stadium… it’s the kind of adrenalin rush film with big emotion that Indian cinema embodies and this film perfects!!!! Was blown away by the cinematic audacity of each frame!!!!”

“How good was everyone !!! @sanyamalhotra_ @pillumani so so good! The entire ensemble! The gorgeous and fabulous @nayanthara @actorvijaysethupathi is so brilliant! Now, replying to Karan, SRK wrote, “Karan, thrilled u liked the film. & of course the trailer….all the ‘century’ things u said. Ha ha. @Atlee_dir & his full team have genuinely catered to what the audience feels & thinks. Made them abandon everything & come & fall in love with themselves.”

He added, “Audience is the Emperor!”

Jawan has been faring well at the box office. The film has earned Rs 365 crore domestically. It has reached a gross total of over Rs 660 crore globally. The film was released in theatres on September 7.
