Anupam Kher on OMG 2: Spectacular, stylish & a very important film of our times

On Sunday, Anupam Kher took to his official X handle to write a review on Akshay Kumar's latest outing at the theatres, OMG 2. 

In his long note, he wrote, "Just finished watching OMG 2. Spectacular, stylish & a very important film of our times. A film on Sex Education with ease and wonderful aesthetics! It was houseful. Saw parents with their teenage children. Obviously, the film has struck a chord with the audience!"

Commending the cast and crew of the film, he further wrote, "Full marks to writer/director Amit Rai. Pankaj Tripathi is BRILLIANT. He makes acting look easy but I know there is huge preparation behind it. Yami Gautam is beautifully sharp & excellent. I loved Pavan Malhotra as the judge. The film’s star undoubtedly is my friend Akshay Kumar! His Mahadev is so effortless and charming. My mother kept saying, कितने सुंदर है शिवजी महाराज! (How beautiful is Shivaji Maharaj) It is an amazing feeling to see the magic of actors of the 90s." (sic) 

Replying to the same, Akshay Kumar said, "Thank you so much, my friend, so glad you had a good time. It’s all thanks to team effort and we’re grateful to our audiences for their unending love and support."

OMG 2 is produced by Akshay’s Cape of Good Films, Viacom18 Studios, Swaroop Paresh Rawal, Hemal A. Thakkar, Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde and Rajesh Bahl. Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi (director of Samrat Prithviraj, 2022) serves as a creative producer on the project.
