Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis recently took their oaths as the chief minister and deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, respectively. The election for speaker of the Maharashtra assembly took place today. where Rahul Narvekar of the BJP and Rajendra Salvey of Shivsena were standing. Rahul Narvekar of the BJP won the race with 164 votes after the voting.
